Lexi washed her hair, sighing as the hot water hit her back. She had no idea where Joel went after she left him once they finished hugging, he said he was going for a walk to clear his head and he wanted to be alone. "Hey kiddo." Lexi greeted, robe tied around her body and slippers on her feet. "Hey Lex, I found a guitar, look." Lexi took the guitar from Ellie, strumming a few chords surprisingly it was in tune. "Do you know any songs?" Ellie asked, sitting next to Lexi on the old looking couch. "Only a few, Joel can play a lot better than me. He actually taught me the only bit I know." Lexi struck up the beginning chords, fingers dancing along the strings wonderfully as Ellie watched. "Shying away, I'll be coming for you love okay." Lexi started to sing softly as she played. "Take. On. Me." Ellie looked at her amazed at how she could play and sing at the same time without messing up. "Take. Me. On. I'll. Be. Gone." Lexi was still playing really well like she knew the whole song. "In a day or. Two." Once she finished that final line she stopped and Ellie seemed a bit sad. "No, Can you not play anymore?" Lexi laughed a little. "Not that I can remember sorry kiddo." Lexi put the guitar down and went to go change. As she was changing the memories of her being taught the guitar by Joel prior to the outbreak.

Flashback

2002

"You have a guitar!" Lexi exclaimed a she ran over to go pick up the acoustic guitar in the corner of the living room, then joining Joel on the sofa again. "Yeah, do you play?" He asked looking at her in awe by her excitement by the guitar. "No, unfortunately. But I've always wanted to learn." Joel thought for a moment about asking if she wanted to be taught a bit of it. "Do you maybe want me to teach you a bit?" He asked and Lexi looked at him, her eyes glimmering. "Would you? I'd love that." The Rodriguez replied and she handed Joel the guitar. Joel then moved himself and Lexi around so she was sat in front of him, her back on his chest and his hands on hers so he could show her the chords. "Do you know take on me by A-ha?" Lexi turned her head to look at him. "Joel have I been living under a rock until now? Of course I know take on me it's been one of my favorite songs since I was a kid!" Lexi questioned then exclaimed to Joel. "Okay so put your finger here and your other one there." Joel started to guide her fingers to the chords. After about an hour of practicing Lexi had got the hang of a big of the song. "So you think you're ready to try a bit of it now?" Joel said as they moved so they were next to each other. "Yeah I think so." Lexi said strumming a random chord as a joke and the pair laughed before Lexi got into a comfortable position to play. Lexi started to strum the chords to the song slowly. "We're talking away. I don't know what I'm to say. I'll say it anyway." Joel looked at Lexi slowing playing the song and singing quietly and he was looking at her in awe. She then stopped looking at the guitar and then looked at Joel. "Today's another day to find you. Shying away. I'll be coming for your love, okay?" The two held eye contact for a bit, staring into each others brown eyes that were glowing in the light. "Take on me, Take me on. I'll be gone, in a day or two." Lexi then strummed the same chords she did before she started singing before she then stopped singing and strummed the final chord. "That was really good." Joel praised the women that he is in love with. "Well I have an amazing teacher." Lexi replied and the two laughed at her comment. The pair then once again made eye contact, Joel knew the moment was right and he put his hand behind Lexi's head and pulled her in until their lips met. Fireworks were going off in both their stomach's. Once they pulled apart from each other they just stared into the other's eyes again.

Present day

Once Lexi was changed she joined Ellie again on the couch in the bedroom. "So how was it with Maria?" Ellie's face then fell. "Sarah's name was on the blackboard. Maria told me and Ezra about how she died." Ellie started to twiddled with her thumbs. "She said she has concerns with me and Ezra being with you and Joel. Saying we should be careful who we put our faith in because the only ones who can betray us are the one's we trust." Lexi was pissed at what Maria said to Ellie and Ezra, she stood up and put her boots on that Tommy gave her. "Where's her house? Across the street?" She was enraged now, thinking about how she knew about Sarah and how now Ellie and Ezra knew too. "Yeah why?" Ellie stepped backwards as Lexi swung the door open, as she made her way downstairs. "Why?" Lexi stormed out into the snow, Ellie hot on her heels. Joel and Tommy were walking towards them, both the brothers looking confused at what was going on. They were still a while away, just leaving wherever they came from so they had no chance of catching Lexi if she tried to swing at Maria. "Open the fucking door Maria!" Lexi pounded her fist on the door. It opened and there stood a confused Maria. Lexi had her arms crossed so she could control her anger. "Who the hell do you think you are?" "Excuse me?" Maria replied, seeing Ellie to the right of Lexi. "You told her and Ezra about Sarah? How do you even think that was okay? You never knew her, you don't get to talk about him ever. You weren't there when she died. You didn't have to try and stop her bleeding even when you knew she wasn't breathing anymore!" Joel and Tommy sped up when they heard Lexi's voice raise. "I thought they knew." Maria calmly replied. "They're not my kids! Why would I tell her that! You're lucky Joel didn't hear that you told them about Sarah or he'd go batshit crazy at Tommy. And you're concerned about me and Joel taking care of Ellie and Ezra! Maybe you take Ellie to the fireflies if you're so fucking determined to get her away from us!" Joel and Tommy were at the brink of getting to the door as Lexi walked into the room and went straight to the blackboard. "You don't ever write her name on here ever again! Never!" Tommy watched breathlessly as Lexi scrubbed Sarah's name off the board and let it hit the floor before she left the house.
