Raph's POV

It had been a few days since Esme and I had met up at Murakami's, and ever since then my brothers had been acting really weird. They would make weird comments or jokes, send me knowing glances, and I had even caught them a few times whispering secretly amongst themselves. The only normal thing that happened was that Casey asked me if I could come over sometime this week to hang out.

It had been a few weeks since I had seen him last because he'd been busy with work, and I would take any excuse to get away from the weird energy my brothers were exuding. We decided to hang out that night, so after getting ready I started to head out. But of course I couldn't just leave quietly, oh no.

"Hey Raph. Where are you going?" Donnie questioned, being the first to notice me leaving.

"Yeah Raph, you going to see someone?" Leo followed up.

"Ooh, Raph's going out with someone," Mikey teased.

"I'm going to see Casey you bunch of idiots," I snapped at them, sending a glare towards each of them. They looked at each other before suddenly starting to disperse instead of egging me on.

"Have fun with that!" Leo called.

"Yeah, let us know how it goes when you get back," Mikey said. What was up with them? At first I thought maybe they knew about Esme, but that didn't make sense because if they knew about her I'm sure they would've confronted me already about it. They may not have recognized her because she was wearing a mask the first time we saw her, but I'm sure they wouldn't be able to contain themselves if they knew I had been hanging out with someone in secret. Especially a girl.

I made my way out of the sewers and up to the surface. It wasn't too late at this point, just late enough for it to be dark out. I climbed up onto a roof and started heading towards Casey's place. As I was running my thoughts drifted to how I had been spending the last few weeks. Sneaking around with the enemy's daughter was definitely not something I could've ever envisioned happening, but here I was. Helping her learn to skateboard, taking late night swims, and going out to eat together.

I arrived at Casey's place before going down the fire escape to his window. I tapped on the glass, seeing that he was hanging out in his living room on his phone. Upon hearing the noise he looked up and noticed me, coming up to the window to open it.

"Hey Raph," he greeted, moving aside so I could come in.

"Hey man, how have you been?"

"Heh, fucking busy, that's how I've been. This is one of the first nights I've had off in a while," he responded, taking a seat on the couch. I followed suit, taking a seat next to him.

"But enough about me, how have you been Raph? Any new or exciting news you wanna tell me?" He asked, clearly trying to be sly, but I could tell he was hinting at something.

"Ok, what's the deal? My brothers have been acting super weird the past few days and now you too?"

"What, I don't know what you're talking about," he deflected, looking anywhere but at me.

"Come on Casey, spill," I demanded, wanting to know why everyone had been acting so strange.

"I should be the one saying that!" Casey exclaimed, suddenly going on the defensive.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Don't try to pretend like you don't know anything Raph. Did you really think we wouldn't find out you have a girlfriend?" He finally revealed what had been making everyone act like fools the past few days. I felt panic begin to settle in as I processed what he said. So he did know about Esme.
