Raph's POV

"I finally have the antidote done," Donnie said, a proud smile on his face as he held up a vial of a water-like substance.

"Are you sure?" Leo asked, eyeing the container suspiciously, probably having the same thoughts as me.

"Yup. Here, let me demonstrate," Donnie replied. He wheeled over a cart with a glass cage, a mouse running around inside.

"So the actual mind control serum is distributed in a gas form," Donnie started, sealing off the top of the cage. There was a covered up hole on the side which he opened and attached a tube to.

"From the tests, I've concluded that if you put a little bit of your DNA in the serum, that's who will be able to control the subject after they've been exposed to the gas. I've already put some of my skin cells in this batch so the mouse should be under my control," Donnie explained, the purple gas already pumping into the cage.

"Eww," Mikey said, a grossed out look on his face.

"Why eww? It's just my skin," Donnie frowned at him.

"Just continue, Donnie," Leo said.

"Right, so anyways, now that the mouse has been exposed the effects should be immediate," Donnie responded, cutting off the gas supply and pulling the tube back out of the cage.

We watched carefully as the mouse shook its head a little and then turned to face Donnie. Its eyes glowed purple for a second, a few 'oohs' and 'ahs' echoing through his lab. And then it just sat there, like it was waiting for something.

"Spin around," Donnie commanded and immediately the mouse followed his orders.

"No way, that's so cool! You could totally make your own mouse army!" Mikey exclaimed, practically jumping up and down from excitement.

"No, not cool. Shredder's planning on using this to make an actual army," I frowned.

"Oh, right. I forgot. Why does the Shredder gotta ruin everything?" Mikey whined.

"Yeah, he definitely SHREDS any chance of having fun," Leo replied, glancing around at all of us with a little grin on his face. There was a moment of awkward silence and then Donnie cleared his throat.

"Anyways, the antidote can be distributed through an injection," Donnie ignored the dumb ass pun Leo made as he took a little bit of the clear liquid and put it inside of a syringe. A disappointed look crossed Leo's face and he crossed his arms over his chest.

Donnie lifted the lid off the container before reaching in with the syringe. The mouse didn't even react as Donnie injected him with the antidote, and a moment later the mouse shook its head again before running over to its water bottle and drinking from it.

"Nice work Donnie," Leo complimented, seemingly over the pun incident. My phone began to ring, capturing my attention as I pulled it out of my belt and looked down at the caller ID.

"Who is it?" Mikey asked curiously. Esme's name popped up on my screen, a smile lighting up my face.

"Esme," all the guys said in unison, giving each other little smirks.

"Shut up," I hissed at them before pressing the answer button, turning around to leave the room.

"Hey Esme," I greeted.

"Told you so," I heard Mikey in the background.

"We all knew it was Esme, Mikey," Donnie sighed. That's when I noticed the silence on the other end. I froze, starting to worry a little bit. This wasn't like her.
