Raph's POV
"Bro, where are we going?" Mikey asked for what felt like the millionth time as we climbed up the building. A chorus of groans could be heard from the rest of us.
"We're almost there dude, just chill," I replied. After a little bit more climbing we finally made it to the rooftop. I walked over to the electric box Esme had shown me and waited for the rest of them to make their way up. April had been able to come as well, but I had given her the hint to bring a swimsuit and just asked her not to tell the guys.
As soon as they were all on the roof I flipped on the lights to reveal the pool that sat atop the building.
"Oh hell yeah!" Mikey exclaimed, not wasting a second as he leapt into the pool shouting, "Cowabunga!"
"This is sweet, how'd you find this spot?" Donnie asked, walking over to one of the pool chairs and beginning to take his electronics off.
"I showed it to him," a cheery voice answered, grabbing all of our attention. Esme stood at the side of the building, wearing an oversized t-shirt and some shorts. She had a pink floaty at her side and a happy look on her face.
"Are you kidding me Raph, you invited her?" Leo asked, looking over at me accusingly. It had been a few days since he confronted her, and after some more arguing once we had gotten home Leo basically told me he didn't care if I kept seeing her, he just wouldn't help me if this ended up being a trap.
"Raph, you invited me without telling them?" Esme asked in a hushed voice, coming up behind me.
"It's not that big of a deal, I mean come on, it's not going to kill you to hang out with her for a few hours," I told Leo, ignoring what Esme said. I could feel her glare piercing into the back of my head. Leo just turned away, arms crossed over his chest.
"I get it, a girl can tell when she's not wanted," she sighed, dragging her feet as she started walking away.
"I'll just be leaving now," she called behind her, letting out a loud exaggerated sniffle. I had to stifle my laugh as she continued to try to guilt trip my brothers.
"It's such a shame, I really wanted to go swimming," she said dramatically, pretending to wipe away tears as she looked back at us with a gloomy look.
They all just watched as she got closer and closer to the edge of the roof, sniffling the whole way until she was practically off the side.
"Ok, I'm leaving now. For real." She glanced back a few times, swinging her arms a little before finally whirling around.
"You're really going to let me leave?" She said, throwing her hands in the air. I finally let out the laugh I was holding in.
"We just wanted to see how far you were going to take it," Donnie responded with a little snort laugh.
"Yeah dude, come on in, the water's fine," Mikey called from the pool. Leo just let out a little grumble before plopping down onto one of the pool chairs. A big smile lit up her face as she ran over to an empty table and began to take her shirt and shorts off. Underneath she wore a sage green bikini.
It wasn't like this was the first time I'd seen a girl in a swimsuit, but for some reason, seeing her in particular seemed to fluster me a little bit. I realized I had probably been staring for a bit longer than what would be considered normal and decided to find my own spot to put my weapons and any other gear I didn't want to get wet.
Once she took her shoes off she grabbed her floaty and jumped into the pool. April had gone in already, so once Esme surfaced she swam over to her before introducing herself.
