Ch9: Professors

Andersen returned to Night Raven College after placing the magical mirror at Artik's castle and attending Ashray's birthday in the town of Ledusberg.

Thankfully, when he returned to the run-down dorm, the place was spotless and dust-free. It has something to do with the three ghosts who are cleaning the lodging facility. The three ghosts did not tidy the dorm of their own accord. It wasn't from the goodness in their hearts.

They would not be former Night Raven College students if they would not ask for benefits and act selfishly. Unlike their rivals from the Royal Sword Academy, They wouldn't offer help voluntarily and by acting nice. They wouldn't do that kind of disgusting thing. They would gain nothing by willingly cleaning the run-down building and acting like goody two shoes like those snotty brats.

But Christian Hans Andersen, the newest inhabitant of the Ramshackle dorm and the newest future professor of the Night Raven College, threatened them before he left with Headmage Crowley to do something a few days ago.

They were threatened with exorcism, and they were shown demonstrations of the professor's magic, which they did not want to experience. Most of those spells were harmful to them even though they are already dead.

Aside from cleaning, they have gone out of their way to repair the roof and plug the holes to curry favor with the dangerous and apathetic professor with a caustic tongue. As a result, when it rains, there will be no leaking. They also repaired the floor with a hammer, nails, and planks of wood.

They requested the other ghosts at Night Raven College for the hammer and nails. The other ghosts in this academy are school employees. The majority of the headmaster's staff and employees are ghosts. Dire Crowley, the head magician, is a cheap stake in acquiring the ghost staff. Even if he employs the ghosts, he doesn't have to pay them given that they don't need Madol for they are already dead. They do not need to buy necessities such as food to satisfy their hunger and thirst. And what good would it be to purchase these individuals' clothes and other necessities? It's pointless. They're already departed.

Andersen was pleased with the condition of the student housing facility which was clean and dust-free, with roofs and flooring in good repair. The windows and walls needed to be repaired before he could be completely delighted with his new home. The lengthy grass outside the lawn needed to be mowed, and the dormitory's chipped-off painting needed to be repainted. Most importantly, there was a hole in the wall that needed to be filled with cement or brick.

The headmaster summoned him to his office the next day after his return to Night Raven College. Crowley, as the last time, directed that someone notify him of the message. The messenger, like the last time, was a young boy named Ortho.

Andersen declined Ortho's offer to accompany him to the headmaster's office because he already knew where it was.

"I already know where the headmaster's office is, young man; you should go out and do your own thing."

"Is everything okay?"

Andersen nodded in response to the inquiry. Ortho unwillingly bid farewell to Night Raven College's newest professor, seeing Andersen's unwavering expression and blue eyes.

Ortho was taken with the new lecturer. He told his brother about the new professor the last time he heard about him. Idia's reaction to the news was one of astonishment, apprehension, and uneasiness. Idia wanted Ortho to learn more about the new lecturer towards the end of his thought process.

They discovered an intriguing article on the internet about the professor being a criminal in Shaftlands. However, because the police agency in that area was untrustworthy, their accusation of the professor without evidence was unreliable.

Aside from the news, they saw the Magicam video. The professor's achievements of casually summoning his familiars with his weird feather quill and book were astonishing.

The new incoming professor has something significant to teach to the students of Night Raven College with that demonstration of instant cast level of magic. Dire Crowley, the head magician, hired him for this reason.

With the only information they could discover on the internet and hacking, and the professor not having any information on the internet other than those two, Idia urged his brother to personally obtain information from the professor.

As a shut-in, he has no desire to contact the professor, but gaining information that could be used in the future would be beneficial. If Idia ever needed something from Octavinelle Housewarden, he may use it to exchange something with Azul. (It's unlikely to happen.)

Dealing with that cunning individual is too perilous. It is best not to seek him out and let the contrary happen because they are both members of the same club. It would be inevitable for Azul to ask him for information about the new professor.

Andersen walks towards the headmaster's office after leaving Ortho. On his way to the headmaster's office, he noticed an increase in the number of pupils returning from their summer break. When he spotted their presence in the corridors, he clicked his tongue.

He noticed how astonished several of them were to see him. They were hesitant to approach him because of his unapproachable expression and the annoyance showing on his face.

But some daring and courageous students greeted him. A familiar face was among the students. A tall young man with short dark green hair and hazel eyes, wearing black-rimmed rectangle glasses, with a small black marking in the shape of a club symbol on his left cheek.

Then came those two beast people again, this time with the broccoli-haired young man.

He decided to acknowledge their folly because they were brave and foolish enough to greet him. They were taken aback at first before smiling.

Andersen eventually arrives at the front of the headmaster's office after passing by the students in the hallways. When he opened the door, he was shocked to see that the office was not occupied by the headmaster. However, he was accompanied by others.

Andersen deduced from their appearance that they were the other Night Raven College instructors. Even some of them appear to be so far removed from the professor's stereotype in the minds and ideas of ordinary people about the ideal instructor.
