Arc 1: The Long Winter
Ch3: Blue-haired child
It was unexpected that there would be an explosion. Hans Christian Andersen felt quite uncomfortable after being close to a Rayshift container explosion. He loses consciousness because he is unable to stand the excruciating anguish that is happening to his body.
He doesn't know how much time has passed since he was unconscious. He had temporarily regained consciousness at some point. He could feel his body trembling and becoming quite cold. Hans Christian Andersen wouldn't pass away from hypothermia as a servant; he wouldn't die of cold either. But being outside in the chilly weather suddenly made him think and remember one of his stories.
The little match girl.
The burn scars on his arm would serve as a constant reminder to Andersen of people's perceptions of him, despite the bitter cold around his body.
Not only the little match girl's burn marks were present. There was the little mermaid left scales on his feet, and the slicing pain in his throat that was excruciating.
A narrative approach that exclusively views death as salvation and has the heart of a demon who has loved tragedy
The public's perception of him was that
He closes his eyes for a moment while suffering from the cold and hears some hazy sounds. Steps on snow, and a young girl's voice can be heard.
' Was I transported somewhere by the rayshift? I was lying on a snow field... I was shivering because of this. It was fortunate that I'd been brought here and not somewhere worse... '
Opening his eyes, Hans Christian Andersen chastised the flower magus for the sight that had been bestowed upon him. He has seen the Gerda of his dreams. But a little younger than he had envisioned for his story.
"A dream? Magus of Flowers.. "
Andersen murmured before succumbing to the intense cold.

Katerina felt this boy was no child at all when she heard his voice before the little boy closed his eyes. Having a man's voice. Deep, baritone, and with a great timbre
Katerina was worried when she saw the individual lying in the snow. Her mind came to a conclusion, so she picked up the individual and carried him to the sled.
" Bae! "Let's go back to Ledusberg!"
Going to Sefa town, it was obvious that the guy would not make it. It was best for Katerina to return to Ledusberg and knock on Ashray's door.
"Full speed ahead!"
Bae growled before turning around and heading back toward Ledusberg.
Katerina knocked on Ashray's door when they returned. Ashray was startled to see his friend return as he opened the door. Ahsray saw the child Katerina was carrying within seconds. A blue-haired child with bloodied garments smells of smoke and burns.
" Kay! Come in!"
"Are the guest rooms clean?"
"The only clean ones are on the first floor."
"Great! "
Ashray followed Katerina to one of the first-floor guest rooms. Katerina stopped after opening the door and placing the child on the bed. Ashray then stated this to his companion.
"I presume you were unable to reach Sefa town when you discovered the child?"
Katerina nodded, a concerned expression on her face.
" Yes. The deliveries...
Ashray motions to his pal to move away.
"Go, even if I'm sick right now, I can take care of the child; go to Sefa town, buy supplies, and deliver them to our neighbors."
"Thank you very much, Ashray."
Katerina smiled before kissing Ashray on the left cheek and departing. Ashray remained stunned for a few seconds before blushing in embarrassment.
" Kay! "
Ashray looked at the bloodied little boy after calming himself down. If he wasn't mistaken, his old clothing is in the attic. Certain outfits might be appropriate for this child.
Ashray exited the room and proceeded to the attic to retrieve some of his old garments. He went to the kitchen after going to the attic to boil some water and get a towel.
After waiting for the water to warm up, he placed it in the tiny bucket and walked to the guest room with everything he had gathered. The blue-haired child was still unconscious when he returned.
With a sigh, Ashray removes the child's black square-framed eyeglasses.
' Geez... I'm curious what this child is doing outside in the snow when he isn't dressed for it. He wasn't from the area. How did this child find himself here? '
Ashray had a lot of questions. When Katerina returns, Ashray should be able to learn how Katerina found this boy.
The boy's clothing was quite interesting. It's too bad it was tainted red with blood. Ashray takes off the child's adorable blue tie. The white lab coat, blue vest, and shoes came next.
The child's striped sleeve shirt, the small belt around the arm knotted and making the sleeve shirt shoulder sleeves puffy, his blue shorts, and his long, tight black socks were the only things that remained on the blue-haired boy.
Ashray gazed for a bit before psyching himself up to undo the child's first button. He was nervous for some reason. When he discovered a huge scar wound on the child's throat, it appears that his concern was not unwarranted.
'Who would harm a child?'
Ashray undid the child's garments one by one, removing the pants and socks, and was both terrified and surprised by what he saw. The child had burn marks on his hands and scales on his feet.
In the child's situation, Ashray's mind conjured up a possible explanation.
His feet have scales. He wasn't quite human... A merfolk.. Who would do something like that to a child? Is it one of his parents or someone else? Was he abandoned because he had Merfolk ancestry?
When Ashray turned his head to look at the child, he found himself collapsing on the bed with pain in his stomach and being trapped on the bed.
The child was wide awake and pointing a black feather quill at him.
"Who are you, youngster?" "Where am I?"
Ashray is unsure where the black feather quill originated from. But when the child spoke to him in a deep voice, Ashray realized he had made a mistake in his conclusions and judgment.
According to the way Ashray was addressed, the person inhabiting the body of a child wasn't a child at all.
Aside from the scar on his throat and burn marks on his arm, the child's body does not appear to be injured. Ashray was now curious about the source of the blood on the child's clothes.
Even though the tip of the black feather quill was pressing into his neck, Ashray finally responded to the individual.
"My name is Ashray Whitley, and you are currently in Ledusberg."
The individual's blue eyes narrowed at him.
"And where exactly is this Ledusberg?"
"We are in the shaft lands, also known as the land of pyroxene; where do you hail from, Mister? The Briar Valley? Coral Sea? The Kingdom of Heroes? Land of Dawning? Queendom of Roses? Scalding Sands? Sunset Savanna or Sunshine Lands?"
Hearing the names of those locations, the pair of deep blue eyes flickered for a second before replying.
"It's not any of the places you've mentioned."
