Arc 3: The Start of the Troublesome Year

Chapter 12: The Introductory Lesson

Except for a few students, class 1-A is highly lively in the morning inside one of Night Raven College's primary lecture halls.

There are a total of 200 entering freshmen this year. At the moment, each class has 40 pupils. The Night Raven College is divided into five divisions. A, B, C, D, and E sections.

Deuce Spade was one of the students. He sat silently in the chair he had selected to sit in, in contrast to his talking and raucous peers who were beginning to create their social groupings. In the middle of the classroom.

The stereotypical seat was normally occupied by the model students, as opposed to the seat in the rear or corner of the classrooms, which belonged to those who wished to slack off.

Those were the seats Deuce used to sit in back in middle school when he began to lose faith in the effort he put into learning. When it came to learning, all of his efforts were futile.

Deuce wouldn't even earn a passing grade, so why even try? Despite all of his efforts, it was not even noticed. Some of his classmates may not have said anything, but the expressions on their faces indicated that they were laughing at him and considered him foolish and dumb.

When he consistently received low grades, his teachers would sigh in despair. Because of his poor grades, he should study harder and put in more effort. They didn't even notice the fact that Deuce was already putting in all of his effort to study.

It was aggravating.

His efforts and hard work have been overlooked solely because of his low grades. The teachers demanded more and advised him to study more seriously. He was already putting forth a lot of effort. Are they blind?

With all of his frustrations, Deuce concluded that studying was pointless.

He dropped out from being a student who tried hard.

He began hanging out with the bullies at school and became a delinquent. Skipping classes, vandalism, bullying weak kids, gang warfare, and so on.

Perhaps it was a method for him to vent his displeasure, rebel, or simply give up.

But one thing was certain during his middle school years: Deuce made his mother cry because of the things he did.

He was the worst son ever.

Deuce felt terrible for making his mother feel like she was an inadequate parent to him. It was entirely his fault.

She was the best parent and mother he could have had.

He wasn't expecting to be a student at Night Raven College because Deuce thought he wasn't too bright to be chosen to study here.

This opportunity was given to him. Deuce wouldn't waste it.

He would turn over a new leaf, leaving his delinquent days behind. They would never be seen again.

He was going to study even harder this time. Harder than he did before turning into a delinquent back in middle school.

At Night Raven College, he would be a role model student.

He sat in the front row so that he could fully listen to and focus on the lessons! Someone who was intended to be a role model student should be in front of the class.

'Bring it on! '

That's what he stated yesterday. The Deuce of today, on the other hand, is apprehensive after discovering what is their first subject.
