AN: Wohoooo!! My left hand is finally fine! Anyway, I watched some new anime trailers and some of them made me laugh...And some of the stuff in this chapter is just my headcanons except Crewel being the club advisor of Science Club. And Vargas for the Track & Field Club Advisor.
Arc 4: The Path to Thorny Roses
Chapter 5: Club Advisors
The second day of studies at Night Raven College is a significant day for the students. Aside from professors completing giving an overview of their subjects and starting their lessons, it was also Club Recruitment Day. Convincing inexperienced first-year students and stealing them from the other clubs.
So far, no students have opted out of a club. They are always scooped up by established clubs or formed their own. Students who opted to form a go-home club do not exist. Perhaps... A pop music club is a kind of Go Home Club. The majority of their club members exist solely to socialize and eat snacks in class. They do not compose their music but rather cover songs. Clubs that require supervision are assigned advisors to assist the club captain or president in regulating their operations.
Coach Vargas advises the Spelldrive, Basketball, and Track & Field clubs. The Science Club's advisor is Divus Crewel. Mozus Trein is the club advisor for the Equestrian and Board Game Club.
Interestingly, this year, Equestrian is the only club that Professor Trein will supervise. Crowley would infrequently tell Sam to visit clubs with only one member, such as the Gargoyle Study Club and the Mountain Lovers Club. He, on the other hand, never went to the Pop Music and Film Research Clubs and inquired about any problems or difficulties they were experiencing.
Crowley's thinking is as follows: He never believes the Pop Music Club is in trouble or needs his help. Never mind that another music club exists at Night Raven College; and that there was a conflict of interest between the previous members and the current ones that resulted in other Music Clubs. For the Film Research Club, Pomefiore House Warden Vil Schoenheit serves as president of the Club. Most importantly, he was the club's founder. With Vil's work ethic, Dire Crowley would never have an issue with the Film Research Club. As a result, he delegated responsibility and management of everything to Vil's capable hands.
Hmmmm... It wasn't his problem if they only had ten members, not including Vil, was it? It is not his problem if the majority of them desire to act if they are in desperate need of backstage personnel, and if they constantly borrow members from other clubs and supplies from non-members of the Film Research Club. Oh, that's correct! This year, Crowley doesn't have to bother about them. He has a newly hired professor on his side! Crowley can leave the Pop Music Club and Film Research Club to Professor Andersen. Professor Trein can also relax knowing that he will only have one club to manage this year. Professor Andersen would be in charge of the Board Game Club.
He has fewer anxieties and works this year. He has a lot of things to do. His schedule is so full and filled with important things for this new and exciting academic year. Professor Andersen's presence and appearance were truly like a Genie or Fairy Godmother who would make his life easier and more convenient.
Including those important things to do are, of course, planning for his vacations.
If Andersen was aware of his current thoughts, perhaps he can find a way to share the curse that he gained from the readers of his stories to the lazy ass headmaster.
-------------------------
"Club Advisor?!!"
The Film Research Club members echoed a dreadful yell. They never expected Headmaster Crowley to designate a club advisor to their club this year. They have expected him to leave them alone like usual. Professor Andersen, the sharp and poison-tongued professor who made an impact during the entry ceremony, is their club advisor..... Could they simply please return to having no club advisor at all?
They've already got Vil. The Pomefiore House Warden was almost as rigid as Riddle Rosehearts, the rule-abiding second-year student. Especially when it came to topics that he was interested in.
Vil Schoenheit created the Film Research Club. It was obvious that he would be extremely enthusiastic about the club. It was the product of Vil's enthusiasm for acting and cinema, despite his decision to put his education first. His passion for acting will never diminish. He was as impassioned as ever. Even if his current excitement for it has changed flavors, leaving a lingering bitterness, only Vil Schoenheit and possibly his management are aware of it.
With Professor Andersen as their club advisor, the Film Research Club is doomed. Their misery will be multiplied. They might have to put in more time and effort this year.
'It's over. '
One of the Scarabia second-year pupils fainted. A Pomefiore second-year student collapsed to his knees and stared up at the ceiling in despair. A second-year Savanaclaw pulled out a little book and a pen, then mumbled.
"My journey has come to an end. I need to write my last letter to my siblings. This is my legacy, my will!"
The 2nd year Savanaclaw student began writing quickly in his tiny notebook. On the other hand, a third-year Ignihyde student is lying on the ground in a fetal posture. The remaining five Pomefiore pupils in their third year are likewise preparing to perform their varied expressions and pose as Andersen looks at them unimpressed.
"I don't remember theater performers being this exaggerated,"
Vil sighed at his club members' activities. However, he considers their current acting to be mediocre and unrealistic. If he would grade it out of 10, he would give them a score ranging from 0.5 to 2.5.
"I apologize, professor, for their embarrassing behaviors and lackluster performance. I presume that the Headmaster has informed you that we are one of the clubs you have been given to supervise."
"Yes, I'm aware."
Vil's face lit up briefly with enjoyment after seeing Andersen's unhappy expression, before he composed his expression and switched his gaze to the Film Research club members. Unfortunately, they currently have no new recruits. They still lacked a lot of backstage personnel.
Members who caught his harsh look instantly calmed down and ceased acting dramatically. Even the one second-year Scarabia student has unexpectedly recovered consciousness. They straightened their rumpled garments and stood in a line before bowing briefly.
""Greetings, Professor Andersen! ""
Andersen nodded. The students were relieved when they didn't hear any cruel words from the new professor. The third-year Ignihyde student chuckled and jokingly asked.
"You mentioned something about the theater performers before, Professor. Do you have any experience in a theater as a performer?"
The third-year student feels like he'd break into tears simply thinking and imagining about the lecturer being so severe and poison-mouthed all the time in a theater.
"Do you always get a villain role?"
The other students look at the third-year Ignihyde with horror. Vil was ashamed of the third-year's behavior until he remembered that this club member was socially awkward. The 3rd year is unfamiliar with social cues and does not know how to read the room.
However, Vil also wanted to lash out towards the third year when Ignihyde discussed the 'Villain Roles'. It was a particularly sensitive matter for him. He took a deep breath and composed himself.
Contrary to their expectations, Andersen does not seem offended by Ignihyde's lighthearted question. Andersen smirked and replied haughtily.
" What if I was? Not necessarily a villain, but I am a theater performer. I started younger than your current age."
Eh?
The members of the Film Research Club are taken aback by Andersen's answer; it was unexpected. Seeing their shocked expressions, Andersen considered summoning his Snow Queen and trapping them all within an ice cube for a minute.
He was not a horrible actor at all.
