(Jason's POV)

She was just there. How could she disappear so fast. Maybe if you weren't daydreaming you would have notice that she left, my wolf said.

Oh shut it, I don't need your criticism. I responded back just as two councilman walked in. I knew they were councilman because of the way they held themselves with pride and how they were dressed.

"Sorry your majesty, Vanessa wasn't feeling well and thought that she should go rest. She said she might be down for dinner and not to worry that she will feel better after a nap. She also said that she will talk in detail about the ball with you tomorrow" the guy said. He was standing next to a girl, but they didn't look like mates. I could tell by the way she was standing far way from him.

"Fine by me, may I ask, what your names are?" my father asked looking at them curiously.

"My name is Calvin Moriarty and this is my sister Bethany Moriarty. We both are part of the council and your names are? " Calvin said

"Okay well I think you know who I am. This is my son Jason Genovese, my mate Eliza Genovese, my beta Thomas Dixon, and his son Cody Dixon, my gamma Matthew Miller, his son Brandon Miller, my head tracker Kara Winston, and her daughter Kamryn Winston." he said pointing to each of us as he went along.

"Great to meet you all. Can we get down to business. I really want details on this ball and on the rogue attacks" he said like that was an important topic. Which it could actually be.

"So I actually will save the talk about ball to save for the person you guys sent, but if you want to know about I. You can sit in on the meeting I'm going to have with Vanessa. As for the rogues, we have it under control. We decided to double our patrols and be more alert" my father said calmly.

"The council doesn't like to be kept on a need to know basis" that's all he said before exiting the room.

"Okay that seems like all for todays meeting. You may all go." he said

I left the room and headed straight outside. My wolf was craving for a run. I slipped of my clothes and shifted. I couldn't help but think about her. She seem enchanting but she wasn't my mate or at least she couldn't be. I remember her coming by with her parents. Ha I just remember the good times.

~Flashback~

Oh man, I this is really confusing, I thought.

Calm down you will do great. Stop doubting yourself someday you will be king and you can't doubt yourself then, my wolf told me.

Yeah, yeah I'll..., I thought just as I ran into someone.

"Uh, sorry I was to busy reading to see where I was going" I said helping her up.

"No it wasn't your fault I was also reading, while walking," she said. I finally got a look at her face and it was...what's her name...ah, yes Vanessa. My mom's best friend's daughter. She looked pretty. I can't believe I have never seen her face before. I guess we have both been engrossed in books or studying.

"So I... your reading that book. I never thought I would find any normal girl reading that book," I said

"Well, I'm not a normal girl. What are you studying for?" she said

"I was studying economy, but can't get the numbers to make sense" a bit surprised I didn't catch what I just told her. Number one rule never show weakness and I just showed it to a girl I barely know.

"I could help I always was better when it came to math," she said. Just then our parents turned the corner and by looking at us they figured out what happened.

"So I see Vanessa found someone. Into books just as much as her," her dad said laughing

"I wouldn't be surprised if they were mates," my mother said

"Yeah, there is a small chance since he still isn't of age," my father said and Vanessa blushed brightly.

"Yeah well, Vanessa would you like to continue our conversation in the library?" I said hoping she got the hit of what I was up to.

She just nodded and we started walking away. "The would make a cute couple" I heard while we walked away and some laughing. Parents what can you do about them you can't pick them, so you just have to live with them.

~Flash-forward~

I never remembered another time I enjoyed studying more or even understood it more than when she taught me. I really enjoyed that day with her. Just then I heard a rustle in the leaves.

I looked up and saw something flying. It looked like it was having fun. I couldn't really make it out, but I knew it was an angel. I sat there and watched it . It looked like it were having the time of it's life. I thought I heard laughter. I moved for to get a better view, but then it spotted me and flew away. I got a view of it's wing. They were gold and silver they were beautiful.

Hey Jason, dinner is ready. You should really be here. That Vanessa chic you had your eyes on is walking into the dinning room, Cody in formed me.

I'll be there asap, I thought back to him. I started running back I wanted to get another glance at her.

By the time I made it back she was finishing up. "hey bro, where you've been?" Cody asked as I walked in.

"Just out for a run" I responded. I looked away one second and she was gone man. I can't believe she just left again. If other people didn't see her I bet she was a ghost.
