(Vanessa's POV)

I woke up around seven, but I didn't feel like getting up. I felt warm arms around me and when I opened my eyes to see who they were. I was surprised to find they belong to Jason and he was shirtless.What happened? Oh now I remember, what was going through my mind when I agreed to stay?

***Flashback***

"There you go, the medicine I used won't let you fall asleep for a few hours" I said finishing up and getting up to leave.

"Wait," Jason said and then added, "Do you want to continue give-one, get-one? To help me pass the time" he asked a bit timidly. That is so cute. Wait, what?

"Sure I would love to" I said, before I could even comprehend the words that came out of my mouth I told him yes.

***Flash-forward***

What in the world came over me to say yes to him? I really didn't have time for this hopefully I could make it back to my room without being noticed. I snuck out of his room and went back to mine. I decided to take a shower before heading down for breakfast.

I was opening the door as Emily was about to knock on the.

"Oh good morning, Vanessa. What are you doing up so early?" she asked. Quick think up of an excuse.

"Um..., I just decided to get an early start today." I told her hoping she would by it

"Okay, you can head down for breakfast while I fix up the bed," she said. I had to come up with something to keep her out of the room. What could I say? What could I do? Think, she is looking at me. Come on, oh I got it.

"No! I mean no don't worry, I fixed up the room already." I told her and closed the door behind

"You should go relax. You always work so hard." I stayed pushing her down the hall

"Okay" she said a bit suspicious but walked away and I locked the door, before leaving.

I got into the dining hall and was surprised to find a lot of people having breakfast. I just took a couple of croissants and a cup of coffee with cream and sat down. Just then, I got a text from my best friend and favorite partner, Angelika.

Hola and before you ask the sky, She sent. The reason she sent a message like that was I would always say what's up and she always responded literally. It was kind of our thing and the hola was because we took Spanish together and she failed and I always teased her about it.

Hey hey, what do you need? I texted back

Nothing much. What are you doing right now? She asked

Just finishing up breakfast. Why? I texted

Oh, can you just come to the front of the castle. In like 5 minutes? She texted

Angelika has been my best friend. She was really tall with straight hazel hair and brown eyes. She was always a joker and love to make people laugh, but is there when you need her. There were multiple words to describe her, but some shouldn't be said out loud.

I finished up breakfast and started walking to where she told me to be. I walked out there and was surprised at what I saw.

"Angelika! What are you doing here?" I asked her walking up to give her a hug. Yep, my beastie was standing there with her mate Christopher. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

"The council called me in to help you out with the rogue problem" she told me

"What?" I said shocked "I'm here on the ball assessment. I don't know, what you're talking about."

That's when Calvin walked out. "Well we were going to tell you. That along with the ball assignment you are being assigned the rogue but we brought some backup" he said

"Okay, I'm so happy you're here." I told her dragging her inside

"Yeah, I now they were planning on sending Tristan, but you know I stepped in and volunteered." She said

"Okay, you can go unpack for now and later we can catch up. I first have to go interrogate some rogues." I told her

"Yeah, bye and you are going to tell me who you sleeper with because you only use that perfume to cover up scents" she said.

"Dang, busted Vanessa" Christopher said bringing in the bags

"Oh, shut it. Like you and Angelika don't have fun" I said to him. Which made him blush.

"I will make you pay for that" Angelika said laughing and dragging Christopher with her. I just laughed and walked down the hall. Looks like I'm not the only guilty one here.
