(Vanessa's POV)

I went back to my room and changed into a frilly black top and skinny jean. I also grabbed my cloak. I grabbed my cell and my small purse. I then walked out of my room to find Angelika waiting with Christopher.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her

"Oh Li, invited us to tag along and you know I couldn't say no to hearing you sing. Who knows when you will sing again?" she said

"And him?" I asked

"Oh he is just coming because I'm going" she replied as we walked down stairs. I spotted Li, Bethany, Calvin, Cody, Jason and his parents.

"Hey Vanessa, guess who is tagging along?" Li said as we walked up to them

"Jason and Cody" I said as my phone went off alerting me of a text. I checked it and it was from Jennifer. She is the sun goddess and one of my mentors. It said that there will be a meeting tonight.

"Uhh" I said aloud with out even noticing

"What?" Li asked and I handed her the phone

"Oh..." Li said

"Yeah, but anyway, Why do they want to come?" I said pointing to Jason and Cody

"It just seems like fun and Richard invited us," Jason said

"Okay, let's go" I said not really caring

"Not yet," Calvin said

"Why?" I asked

"Ground rules," he said

"Yeah, like I didn't miss those. Come on Calvin I'm 19 I'll be perfectly fine," I said walking away

"Nope," he said grabbing my arm.

"You must be back before sunrise, no flirting with boys and no motorcycle. Go in an actual car."

"Uhh, what are you my dad?"

"And what are you 10?"

"Like I said earlier '19'and you should stop worrying about me,"

"Just go in a car, okay,"

"Fine, Angelika can I use your car?" I asked Angelika

"Sorry but me and Christopher are going in it" she responded

"What about Christopher's car?" I asked

"His needs to get it washed"

"Great" I said

"Hey you can come in my car" Jason afford

"Okay I guess, if I don't have any other choice," I said. We went down stairs to get in the car. The car drive was a quiet, but it didn't bother me. . When we got to the karaoke place, we waited for the others. Once they got there, Li had the bright idea of making it more fun.

"Hey we should put our names on pieces of paper and put it in a box. Then someone would say a song and number of people sing it," She said. I really didn't like the idea but went along just to please her and everybody else.

Bethany went first she pick "Sparks" by Hilary Duff and four people. The four names picked were Li, Cody, Angelika, and me.

"Oh man I'm getting my phone out for this." Jason said

"Why?" Cody said

"I bet Kamryn would love to see this" he said and added "along with everybody else in the castle"

"There goes my cool factor," he said

"Like you had any to start with" I said and everybody broke out laughing. It was funny to see Cody trying to keep up with us. Since we put Cody through hell by performing with us we let him pick next. He chooses to have three people and the song was "Sing" by Ed Sheeran. The people that ended up singing it were Richard, Cody, and Angelika. We did a few more songs and I was luckily left in the audience after the first song, well until Li's turn.

"Okay, so two people and the song will be "All of me" by John Legend," she said. I felt sorry for the two people she picks.

"Okay so the two people are Vanessa and Jason," she said and I looked at her as if she had grown two heads.

"Yeah show me the slips of paper. I don't believe one word that came out of your mouth just now," I said

"Here you go," she said handing me the pieces of paper. I looked at it and couldn't believe it. The pieces really did have Jason and my names.

"So does it really have our names on it?" Jason asked and I just nodded my head.

We walked up to the stage and began singing the song and we really got into it and started dancing and when the song was over he dipped me and we were about to kiss when I felt a sharp pain in my arm and then everything went black.

(Jason's POV)

I was about to kiss Vanessa, again, when some people barged in thought the front door. I looked away from Vanessa for one sec to see who it was. Then I felt Vanessa go limp in my arms.

"What the hell are you guys doing here?" I yelled

"The king sent us. We got a death threat on you and they claimed that they kidnapped Vanessa and replaced her with an assassin," Thomas said. A death threat, but this doesn't make sense.

"Well, you idiots got the wrong girl then because that is Vanessa and better question where did you get that dart? There are only two people that know the recipe to that and one of them is dead." Li said

"Who is the other?" I asked

"Well, she is unconscious right now" she said pointing to Vanessa

"So the assassin," Cody said

"You are also an idiot," Bethany said

"Pass me her phone," Angelika said

"What are you doing?" someone said

"Going through her contacts, I don't have her brother's number." She said as if that explained anything

"Why?" Christopher asked

"Her brother knows a bit about it but not as much. I just need to make sure that she doesn't need an antidote," she said. She left the room to talk to her brother and came back in like 5 minutes.

"What he say?" Li asked

"She will be fine if it was anybody else they need it but she doesn't she created this thing that makes her immune to it," Angelika said

"Great let's head back to the castle," I said

"Yeah, but who is going to take Vanessa back?" Bethany said

"I will take her back," I said

"Don't try anything," Li said

"I won't," I said. I brought her to the passenger side and bulked her in. The drive back was peaceful. I thought I day her move but I looked over and she was still unconscious. I brought her to her room and knew there was going to be a lot of explaining in the morning.

Okay hey guys sorry I haven't been updating. I just have been really busy but I'm going to make it up to you guys. I promise that I will at least post one chapter tomorrow. Also, thank you guys a bunch I have more than a thousand reads. So yeah, and you guys are the best.
