I was at breakfast when Vanessa walked in and I'm relived that she was fine. It was kind of fun to have her back. They were joking of what she might do to Thomas if she gets alone time with. Later that day I was getting ready for the ball I was almost done when my mother knocked on my door.

"Come in," I said

"Hi Darling you look very handsome," she said

"Thanks mom, did you want to talk about something?" I asked

"Yes actually, it's about your mate," she said sitting down on my bed

"What about her?" I asked

"Well, I want you to give her this before you announce her to the entire room" she said handing me a jewelry box

"Wow, mom isn't this what dad gave you when he announced you as his mate?" I asked

"Yes, but so did your grandmother and your great-grandmother." She said

"Wow," I replied

"They passed it down to me and now I want it to go to your mate," she said

"Thanks mom, I will make sure she gets it, before I announce her," I said

"Oh, here is the box I had made. Each time it is pass down, the one before has a new box. The one I had made is silver with gold accents. The one your grandmother made for me was a midnight blue with little purple flowers," she told me looking at the box

"Mom, what if she is not here?" I asked her

"Preposterous, what does your wolf tell you?" she asked

"That I will find her tonight," I said

"See then don't worry about it," she said getting up

"Hey mom"

"Yeah,"

"Can you fix my tie," I asked and she started chuckling

"You still haven't figured out how to do it?" she asked and I just shook my head.

"Nope,"

"Fine, come here" she said.

"There it's done"

"Thanks mom," I told her

"Well I better go get ready myself," she said leaving

"See you at the ball," I said

"And don't forget the necklace" she said

"I won't" I said and went out to the balcony. Tonight is the night I find her she has to be there. I was lost in thought for a couple of minutes until someone knock on the door.

"Yeah," I said

"The ball is starting and you're not there," Cody said walking in

"Okay let me just grab something," I said reaching for the necklace box

"Okay, come on" Cody said rushing out the door

"Prince Jason Alexander Genovese" someone announced my entrance and everybody bowed

"So how are you going to do this?" Cody asked

"Great I knew I forgot about something," I said

"Vanessa and Natalie did a good job," Cody sad
