(Vanessa's POV)

I have been planning for the last couple of days. I really haven't seen Jason around much or anybody in general. I guess when I'm in work mode I kind of tend to ignore people. It was Wednesday night when I finally got a response to my plan.

I was planning to surprise Queen Eliza.

I was having my cousin come and spend a few days here. I was hoping to get her to come before the ball so she can spend a few days here, go to the ball and then leave. Finally, Richard has gotten a few days off. By the way, Richard is Li's mate. He is the head general of the Vampire army and by the he is a vampire.

The next morning I got up early and text her to meet by the fountain at the back in the castle garden. I will make the excuse of wanting to have tea with her and then take her by the fountain. She will never expect anything. I just hope she likes it.

I walked down to breakfast. I got there and found everybody eating.

I walked up to one of the maids and asked her to give a note to the queen. The girl handed the queen the note and she read it. Then she looked up, smiled, and mouthed a yes to me. Therefore, it was on for 1:00 today.

I killed a couple of hours by working. By the time, I got a text from Li telling me she was at the castle gates it was 12:45. Therefore, I went to get dressed. It took me a couple minutes to find a nice outfit. When I was dressed, it was 12:57. I went down to the main hall and found the queen waiting there.

"Hi, Queen Eliza" I said walking up to her

"Oh hello, Vanessa. Are you ready for tea?" she said

"Actually I wanted to pass by the castle garden first." I said

"Very well," she said and we off to the garden. We walked down the hall to the doors to the castle garden. As we got closer to the fountain, I could see Li and Richard. When the queen saw her, she looked like she saw a ghost.

"Linette, I that you?" she asked

"Yes, hello Queen Eliza" li said walking up to her and giving her a hug.

"How?" Queen Eliza said

"Oh well, a little angel told me that you missed me." Li said

"Vanessa?" she asked

"Yeah, I have been planning this since last week" I said with a smile

"Thank you! This really means a lot to me," Queen Eliza said

"Your welcome" I said

"So who is this gentle man?" she asked

"Oh this is Richard Johnson, my mate." Li said

"Nice to meet you your majesty" he said

"Oh should we get to tea? Richard you can go to your room and relax or take a look around the castle," I said

"Okay" he said and walked away. The queen, Li, and I walked to a nice place where we could talk and enjoy tea. We talked for a while about how Li was doing, how she meant Richard, and other stuff until a maid walked in.

"Hello miss, you have an appointment in 9 minutes," she said to the queen

"Oh, I completely forgot. I was having such a fun time. I was really hoping that I would get a chance to talk a little more before you go," The queen said

"Well don't worry. I'm staying here until after the ball this Saturday." Li said

"So tell me what has happened while I was not here?" she said drinking some tea

"Um..., not much" I said

"Sure" she said not believing a word I said

"Any ways what are the plans?" she asked

"Well, today and tomorrow you can just relax" I said

"And Friday?" she said

"We have a fitting during the afternoon, but nothing else," I said

"Good then we can go to karaoke," she said

"What!" I said

"I know you preformed here, so no excuses. It's been the talk of the supernatural world that you have a beautiful voice and how great of a performance you put on." She said

"Who said it was of my own will," I said

"Doesn't matter I want to hear you sing," she said

"Fine" I said knowing that I did not want to get in a long argument with her

"So how did you end up singing and who got you to?" she asked

"Long story short, Angelika and I went to a club. Jason, Cody, and Christopher followed us. We got back really late and the king was mad that Jason didn't tell anyone where he was going, since we all went with him we also got punished." I said

"Angelika is here?" she asked

"Yeah and Bethany" I said. "You'll see them soon. Also before, I forget you will be getting ready for the ball with me, Angelika, the queen, and Bethany"

"Okay" she said

"Good so I know you must be tired, so I'm going to finish up some work," I said getting up

"Wait, do you think we can hang tomorrow a bit?" she asked

"Yeah sure, I don't think I have a lot left to do" I said and walked back into the castle. I was walking when Jason turned the corner and bumped into a vase. I couldn't help but laugh. He had a book in his hands. He never learns, does he?

"Hey Vanessa, I haven't seen you in a while." he said picking up his book

"Hey Jason, yeah I sometimes kind of zone put people. Is it a good book?" I asked laughing

"No just studying," he said

"Ah..." I said

"I have to get this cultural stuff down by Saturday, my dad asked me," he said

"Oh yeah, I told him to make you do that" I said

"It was you?" he asked

"Yeah, sorry. I can make it up to you by helping you study," I said

"Sure, this is way too much to memorize" he said and we started walking to the library to study.

"That thing you did for making my mom so happy," he said

"Oh, it was nothing" I said

"So let's get down to business. I never said you had to memorize everything, just to read somethings," I said and we started to study. We were like that for a couple of hours. I enjoyed myself, but I was never the teacher type. By the time we were down it was almost time for dinner and he had the basics covered at least. We said our goodbyes and left.

What do you think will happen at karaoke? Also, sorry guys I haven't been updating I've been busy with online school and stuff. I have little time left to write, but I'll try to update soon.
