Kaira didn't say yes but she didn't reject my coffee offer too, so that's a good start of the day but who am I kidding, waking up on Kaira's lap, nothingcan beat that.
After the meeting, I started working on my next mission. There was this auction cum gala on Friday, and I wanted to take Kaira to it. I know she won't say yes unless I do some heavy lifting, so I decided to land in Aisha's cabin for her worda of wisdom.
"Krish, do you know where Aisha works?" I asked, calling him.
"Why do you want it?" He asked back.
"Tell bhai, I have a very important mission to accomplish." I said.
"Goodshine Mental Health Hospital. Bayeswater." He said and cut the call.
For someone who wants nothing to do with her, he sure knows everything about her.
Shrugging, I made my way to it. I was informed, Dr. Aisha was in the middle of a session and will be with me shortly.
After a good 30 minutes, she came back from. I don't know where, but I was relieved to see her.
"What kind of scary sessions do you have here?" I asked as I was again told that she was in there for like 1 hour already.
"We talk. Patients talk, we listen, analyze, and then help." She said, simply shrugging.
"They talk continuously for about 90 minutes?!" I asked, shocked.
"Sometimes." She said, sitting in her chair behind the desk.
"Damn, if I had that power, I would have been winning all the extempore competition. Anyways, back to the topic. I need your help." I said, leaning on the table.
"Against Kaira or to please Kaira?" She asked, matching my posture.
"You are a smart girl, I like you. To please Kaira." I said.
"What will I get in reutrn?" She asked, leaning back in to her chair.
"I will...I will take you books shopping." I said with a smirk.
"Deal done." She said and forwarded her hand.
"Okay, let's go then." I said, shaking her hand. She infromed the front desk as she had no more sessions today and left with me.
"What do you want to please her for?" She asked, sitting beside me in the jeep.
"There is this auction cum gala type party, where I want to take her, but I know that it is an uphill battle." I said sighing.
"Don't worry, soilder, I will help you." She said with a dramatic nod.
"Okay, Ma'am, lead the way." I said.
We went to the biggest book store in the area and shopped hard. Aisha was carrying like ten to twelve books in her hands, all stacked up, while I had around 5.
She told me to call Kaira from her phone. I held the phone while she was showing off her books.
"Byee darling. See ya." Kaira replied, and for a minute there, I felt my ears turned inside out.
"I was referring to Aisha." She said, clearing her throat and cutting the call. Aisha was laughing loudly in the background.
"First step done. Now, second step." Aisha said.
"Well, kind of some work sprang up at the last moment, do you mind?" I said.
"Of course not, but drop me first home." She said, and I nodded.
"Come home tonight. It's going to be a rainstorm tonight, and Avni is going to be in Aman's again. So, we will play Kaira together." She said with a wink.
"You got it." I said and dropped her off. I waited till she came into the balcony and waved me off.
"Yes, Eric?" I asked my PA, who was continuously calling me.
"Sir, Ms. Alina Parker is here. She is throwing tantrums and calling you immediately." He said, sighing.
"What is she? A six year old?" I said into the phone, starting the jeep. I recahed the office in recorded time and saw Alina Jalina Parker sitting there on the couch with my suit blazer, which was supposed to be behind my chair?
Oh, I am getting a serious bitchy ex vibes from her, except the fact, that I never dated her.
"Hello, Ms. Parker. I was told you had some problems." I said, entering my cabin, she tired to hide my coat behind her, but I pretended not to notice.
"Ah yes, the caterer is throwing tantrums and complaining about a lot of stuff." She said.
"Just like you, I assume." I said.
"Sorry?" She said.
"Oh, nothing. I will see to it and for such trival matters, you don't have to come to my office. They can be attended on the phone too." I said sweetly.
"Well, what can I say? I wanted to see you too." She said, advancing towards me.
"I am so flattered, but seriously, you don't have to take the pain of traveling here every time, Ms. Parker." I said.
"Dammit, why can't you just see that I am trying to get close to you? I love you, Ishaan. Give me a chance, please. What's wrong with me?" She said, stomping her foot angrily.
"You are asking me this while I am organizing your wedding and you are standing in my office confessing to me? See youself in the mirror and ask this question to yourself. Mirror will start screaming the answer you desperately want to know. And FYI, I already love a woman, and I not so down market like you to go on confessing to others whilce claiming to love one." I said, snatched my coat again from her, and stormed out of the office.
She was going to marry another businessman. They were like the perfect couple on tv and on the auctions and parties. They claimed that they love each other in public and new channels, go bonkers over them.
This was the type of thing I never wanted. I wanted the person beside me, be my woman, to whom I can love freely, protect her, and just be with her, not for the media and public but for my sanity.
But, I am in the line where what is seen is what is sold. Reporters don't try to come near my family after one time, they published something rubbish about Misha being the result of Bhaiya's affairs. Bhabhi was devasted, I was so angry that I literally filed a lawsuit at that media company, but I personally made the person who wrote the article see the hell. No one talks badly about my family and is unscathed.
Heyyyy pretty people!! Here's the update for today.😉
Keep enjoying and vote and comment, too. I need to know your thoughts, guys.See yaa, byeee and keep smiling!
