I was in my room after dinner. Maa made dinner today, which was absolutely I ate ice cream after that, so a complete meal.
Out of nowhere, I received Aman's call.
"Hey, is like Kaira with you? Or are you with them?" He asked.
"Nope, I am at home. What happened?" I asked.
"Well, they are not reachable, me and Krish tried calling a thousand times, and none of the three are picking up." Amam said, and all my senses were with an alert mode.
"We are going there now, you come too." He said and cut the call. I instantly started dialing Kaira's number and then Aisha's, none of it was answering but was ringing fully.
In 20 minutes, I was in front of their apartment building and found Aman and Krish stepping into the elevator. We all rushed, Aman opened the door as he knew the password.
There they were, lying on their back and singing songs and here we were fucking worried about their lives.
I smacked Aisha's head after everyone dispersed.
"Ouch, that hurts, mister." She said, glaring.
"Was supposed to. That was for keeping your phones on silent." I said to her.
"Whyyy? Did you worry too much about Kaira?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I was worried about you three, all three." I said, stressing the word "three. "
"Oh, please relax. We were just trying to lift up Kaira's mood. One atom bomb dropped from her past." She slowly whispered to me.
"Why? What happened? I need all deatils." I whispered back.
"Not my place to tell." She said, I gave her a side eye, and she shrugged.
They three had dinner, and we were politely asked to go to hell. And got kicked out of the apartment.
I started back to go home, but my mind kept wandering about what Aisha spoke. Kaira's past. What really did happen to her to become this grumpy rude woman who rarely shows her emotions. Anyone is not born with those qualities. They develop.
I want to know, Kaira. I want to know what happened to you that molded you into the person you are now.
Two days passed in a jiffy, and before I knew it was Friday evening and I was getting ready for the gala. I don't wear suits too much, but today, I want to look at least worthy of Kaira, and she so fucking pretty that she shines though crowd without even trying.
I got into my Thar and reached her place. I went up to see Aman already present there, with Krish.
"Kaira, don't run na." Aisha said.
Kaira came behind me and used me a shield. I stifled my laugh when I saw Aisha glare at me.
"Move aside Ishaan." Aisha said.
"Why do you even wanna do this?" Kaira groaned from behind.
"It's just kala tikka, in our case, kajal. It will keep you from bad luck and uninvited eyes." Aisha answered wiggling her eyebrows.
"Fine." Kaira said sighing and stepped out from behind me.
Aisha grinned and put the kajal dot behind Kaira's ears. Avni came and latched her arm through Aisha's.
"Why do I feel like I am sending away my precious gem?" She said to Aisha.
"Because she is our precious gem. A gem that is going to cause every man a heart attack there, I hope Ishaan already arranged for an ambulance." Aisha teased and Kaira let out a huh.
"Can we please leave already? They are tearing up." Kaira whispered in my ear leaning a little. Warm air blowed on my earlobes, giving me a fuzzy feeling.
"We gonna leave now people." I said looking at her, not them and forwarded her my arm, which she took gracefully.
All the guys waved us bye, as we made our way to the elevator.
"You look marvelous today." I said in her ear and she took a sharp breath, which I didn't miss no matter how much I was immersed in her beauty, as I said, she stands out without even trying.
"You tidy up pretty well too." She said.
"Thank You, My Lady." She smiled and we went to my jeep. I opened the door and helped her climb into it, damn it, I should have chosen a car which she could easily climb into.
I am such a doofus. Never does the right thing at the right time.
"If you are thinking about that, you should have brought another car. It's fine. I like your Thar." She said, buckling her seatbelt.
"Yup, you read my mind." I said and purred the engine to life.
In no time, we were at the gala. I helped her down the jeep and gave the keys to the valet. We were bombarded with questions and flashes of media and cameras.
I was having trouble even walking straight. Kaira suspiciously eyed me as we entered the giant miraculous hall.
Every pair of eyes wandered and settled on Kaira, but she shrugged it off and paired her hands with mine. I looked at her surprised.
"I am your date tonight, ain't I?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and a smile.
"Y-Yes, you are." I replied and looked away blushing as she laughed. God, I need to get that into my mind that this beauty in my arms is mine tonight.
I introduced her to several poeple whom she talked very professionally, shook their hands. I could many were impressed with her. At last, we sat down at our tables, and took some more wine.
"My feet are killing me." She groaned.
"I can carry you." I replied with a shrug.
"Oh please, I am not a light wait chick who eats salad daily." She replied laughing.
"Well, we will see." I said lookin into her eyes.
"I still didn't get the reason why you so desperately wanted me to be here with you?" She asked leaning a little towards me as music was a little loud to talk now.
"Do I need a solid reason, for you to be with me?" I asked in a flirty tone.
"Ishaan." She said in a warning tone and I laughed, no flirty comments, I forgot that clause.
"Their are two massive reasons, one is coming towards us right now." I said glancing behind Kaira.
