Pietra's P.O.V

I watched in horror as the red head in front of me keeled forward, clutching her throat, and then whipped her head back up, her curls floating above her like a scarlet storm cloud. Her eyes resembled huge glowing green stones, the whites now gone and taken over by a luminous green light. She still clutched her throat, gasping for air as she choked, and I glanced around to the crowd of campers that had welcomed themselves in to watch, who were standing as if this was an everyday occurrence.

They didn't even seem nervous when she stopped retching, and green smoke flew out of her mouth, filling the space around her as all of the campers casually stepped back. She looked like a dragon that breathed poisonous gas [or just had really bad breath], and I gasped when she shuddered, and a voice that sounded older than Earth itself [and worse than the time when Hera attempted singing] took over her body, and echoed through the room.

The cold and passing must combine
to follow the leader that has burnt her shrine

To a land where history was made
And where a memory of time, will fade

Until it's all over, they must learn to trust
and steal the sword from the thief they must

They will seek advice, from the Gods above
And a surprise visit from the Goddess of love

And if the world will crumble down
they are to wear a golden crown

They won't suspect the person who gave
a curse, a blessing and an end of days

And if they fail, all ends will come
and the yielder of the deathly sword, they must over come

The cursed one won't come back alive
but that doesn't mean she can't survive
[I was right wasn't I, I'm so proud! It's even crappier than what I predicted! Yay]

The red-head collapsed as the smoke cleared, leaving her unconscious on the floor. Whoops, I'm pretty sure that she wanted me to catch her, well, she won't know...

I glanced at Nico, who was staring at the girl who had gone all freaky, with a blank expression on his face. He seemed to notice and turned his head to face me, while I watched in disbelief as a few campers dragged Red along the floor and up onto one of the beds in the infirmary.

Nico nudged me with his shoulder and I looked up, suddenly aware that everyone, and I mean everyone, was staring at us. I laughed nervously,

"Does that happen to everyone when they come to camp, I mean the whole breathing gas thing?"

I heard a few people chuckle and I looked up to Nico who was smirking while rolling his eyes. Congratulations, Nico! You're multi-tasking! I tore my eyes away from Nico as I mentally clapped and cheered for him sarcastically, and returned to being under the gaze of a whole camp full of teenagers. Could I just point out the amount of pressure I was under? Yes? Good, because I was seriously stressing out!

I heard Chiron trotting up to us and pushing through the crowd in a polite manner that I would never be able to hold, especially in a situation like this, and furrowed my eyebrow as he came closer, giving him my usual 'I hate you' look. He glanced at the boy that was still knocked out cold behind us and heaved a sigh, shaking his head and returning to our gaze, which I found pretty amazing considering I was making mine as cold and harsh as possible. Yeah, I know it's kinda mean, but I really don't like him, you would understand if you were in my position.

He coughed under my gaze, "Well, it looks like you are going on a quest, heroes."

I narrowed my eyes at him, knowing that he was hiding something.
"Chiron, what do you know about the quest that you are not telling us."

He glanced at the other teenagers behind him, who were leaning in to listen, *cougheavesdropcough* to what Chiron was about to say.

"There is a..." The centaur hesitated and fiddled nervously with his suit jacket.

"Chiron, tell us." Nico pressed him on, his eyes narrowed.

Chiron took a deep breath and then looked out the window to the sky, almost as in a silent plea to not be electrocuted, and then began his explanation.

"There is a famous Sword that is triumphant in battle, no matter how weak the yielder is. This sword has been-",  Chiron was interrupted with a chorus of gasps, and all eyes turned to the boy on the stretcher behind us, who was now sitting up and gasping for air. I quickly diminished the glow around him.

"W-where am I?" He stuttered, his bright blue eyes widened and breaths short.
I was the first to recover.
"Do you know anything about Greek Mythology?" I said to him in a voice that was as gentle as possible when you were about to find out what your life threatening quest was and got interrupted.

His eyes locked into mine, than shifted to Chiron, to the side of me, his eyes even wider [if that were possible], and a groan escaping his lips as he fainted and landed back on the soft pillow.
