He quickly accepted the call and saw the bartender's face on the screen. "Hold on for a moment. We're almost to our office. Then I'll hand the phone over to our boss."

As I continued running toward our building, I turned to Gray. "Tell him to make sure they don't leave yet!"

"Did you hear that?" Gray asked the bartender.

"Oh yeah. They're not going anywhere. I can't wait to see how this pans out!" The bartender cheered.

A few minutes later, I was breathless as we entered the elevator. I couldn't catch my breath. I felt my heart beating fast. I was in no shape to run that long. It was embarrassing. I was sure Gray noticed my exhaustion.

I tried to joke about it, but it came out as more of a wheeze. I was relieved when the elevator doors opened, and we stepped out. He said nothing, but I could tell he was concerned.

We finally made it to Vince's office. I burst through the door. I must have looked haggard by his expression as he saw me lunging toward his desk. I was out of breath and panting heavily. I reached out my hand to grab Gray's phone.

Vince looked at me concerned and asked, "What is it?".

I waved my hand for Gray to explain it to him.

"I have someone who would like to speak to you." He held out his phone for Vince to take.

He raised an eyebrow as he took the phone. "Alright."

I had to sit down before falling down. I could hear the bartender explaining the situation to Vince.

Suddenly Gray bent down and whispered in my ear. "I'll get you some water."

I looked up at him and smiled. He quickly came back with a glass of cold water. He handed it to me and watched me drink it until I was finished. He then smiled back at me. "Feeling better?"

I nodded, still smiling. "Thank you," I said. Gray nodded back and sat in the chair next to me.

We listened to Vince's conversation with the bartender. The more that was revealed, the redder Vince's face became. He was seething. He looked just as angry as when he fired Garrett. It was the same vein popping from his forehead as before. The 'Master' has returned.

The bartender pointed his camera at Autumn and her boyfriend, the "doctor," sitting at the bar drinking. Vince thanked him for the information and ended the video call. He was silent for a few moments before laughing.

"Well then. I guess I finally have what I need. Thank you for letting me know what was going on. Now let me handle the rest. Just don't tell anyone else." He smiled as he handed Gray his phone back.

He grabbed his phone and nodded. He smiled at me and slowly stood up from his chair. I guess that was all we could do. Now we must get back to work.

After our shift, I couldn't help but want to celebrate. Gray and I made our way to the Black Cat, where the bartender greeted us warmly. Luckily Autumn had already left.

The bartender cheered our success and bought our first round of drinks. We laughed at the image of Autumn being found out, and I felt a deep sense of satisfaction. We were relieved we wouldn't have to deal with her much longer.

The night was still young when we left the bar. We only stayed for two drinks. Gray promised me a special dinner. We walked arm in arm. I felt our bond had grown stronger after facing Autumn together. I started to drift away, imagining what the night might bring.

My heart beat fast with anticipation as we entered Gray's building. I had never been to his apartment before and was eager to see what it was like. Since I only saw what I could from my window. I was excited to explore more of his life.

The doors opened, and I stepped out into the hallway. I followed him down the hall until we reached his door. He opened it and gestured for me to enter. I stepped in, and my eyes widened in wonder. I was amazed at how spacious and modern it was. Everything was so neat and tidy. Despite its simplicity, it was a cozy place.

The kitchen was warm and inviting, with a large stove and oven already busy cooking a delicious dinner. The air was filled with the scents of herbs and spices, and the counters were stocked with all the necessary ingredients. A pot of boiling water simmered on the stove, and the sound of sizzling vegetables filled the air. The kitchen was alive with the sound of laughter and conversation.

Gray and I moved around the kitchen, stirring sauces and tasting food. We chatted and shared stories as we cooked, and I felt a sense of contentment and joy. When dinner was ready, we sat down and enjoyed the fruits of our labor.

After we finished eating, Gray began to clear the table. I realized that we had never had dessert. "Did you have something in mind for dessert?" I grinned.

He paused as he picked up the plate in front of me. He leaned closer to me and whispered, "I thought you were the dessert."

I blushed instantly as I looked away. Gray chuckled, a low sound that sent a shiver down my spine. I could feel his breath on my face as he pulled away. His gaze lingered for a few moments before he finally stepped back. I looked up to find him staring at me with a mischievous glint in his eye. I felt my heart skip a beat.
