"I hope you know what you are doing." Indra says calmly as the elevator climbs.
Lexa's body is rigid next to her, hands clasped behind her back, her muscles tense and flexing under her armor.
"Do you trust me?" She asks flatly.
"Yes, Heda." Indra replies.
"Then you have nothing to worry about."
The door opens and Lexa steps out with authority, the guards bowing as she passes. The doors to the throne room open and she glides in, down the red carpet without looking to either side, her eyes fixed on the chair ahead of her. Only once she reaches it, brushing back her cloak and sash as she turns to sit down, does she look around the room at the faces gathered.
She hadn't expected to miss sitting in this chair so much. Her hands run along the wooden arm rests a few times and she settles back into her throne, not afraid of the silence, wanting each ambassador to take in the sight of her back in this room.
An abundance of candles around the room give off a warm glow, the sun having long set and the evening chill blew in from the balcony. The commander waited a few more moments, drawing out the silence before finally speaking.
"Sangedakru, Boudalan, Podakru, where are your junior ambassadors?" Lexa finally says, recalling the clans Luna reportedly overheard while scouting as three that had been in on Titus' coup plot.
An elder man with a long, thick white beard stands up, "We did not think the juniors were allowed, nor required for this meeting, Heda." He voiced, bowing towards Lexa before sitting back down.
"For you, it is required." She growls. "Go, fetch the three juniors." She motions with her hand and two of the guards leave the room.
"I trust you all know why I've called you here." She pauses, looking each face over, gauging every expression, enjoying the uneasy suspense, the fearfulness in their faces. Her anger over Titus and his plan reignites in her chest seeing her full council around her, but she can't lash out. She makes sure to keep her face blank, emotionless.
"I'm aware of the fighting at the blockade. I will lead a group to confront the Skaikru leaders, so they may rejoin the coalition and end this childish fighting for good." Whispers among the ambassadors ensues, as the muffled voices grow in volume and hostility, Lexa stands up from her chair.
"Silence!" She bellows.
"Beja, Heda, why are we sparing their lives after all they have done? We extended our hand in peace, but they refuse over and over. We've already lost so many." Spoke the Delphikru ambassador. His clan's round symbol with arrows all pointing inward covered the entire top corner of his forehead. His bald head already beading up with sweat.
