Fixing Clexa's story to give them an ending they deserved (an *ending, not the journey they deserved). They are clearly endgame but it turned into a bit more of an adult-themed journey to get there so just a warning it takes a slightly dark turn ar...

(...One week in the woods)
After Lexa hit the dead end of a cave on the third day, she became even more frantic in her search efforts, possibly to their detriment. The trio zig zagged over the entire area north of Niylah's cabin, doubling back and forth, combing every square foot several times over, ditching their horses in the thick wooded terrain. Currently they are sprawled out along the river for a short rest, waiting for fish to bite the single line Luna casted out.
For the past day they've argued over whether or not to venture even further North. Octavia's group was supposed to be searching West of the cabin, Miller and Abby's group South (Lexa had purposefully assigned them the most unlikely direction.)
"She likely took her into Azgeda territory, where she's more familiar with the terrain and hideout spots." Echo suggested, sitting on a fallen tree trunk, tracing shapes into the wet sand of the riverbank with a stick. "There's more mountains there too, much more extensive cave systems." The sentence makes Lexa's pulse jump.
More extensive cave systems.
"It's Lexa she really wants." Luna argues, tugging in her empty fish line to cast back out again. She'd gotten back to her old self during the week in the woods, her face now fully healed. "She was staying near the cabin to keep going back specifically to wait for her." Luna continues, "She isn't looking to stay hidden forever, her whole plan is to kill Lexa."
"Ha" The commander huffs, mindlessly fiddling with a small compact knife that's usually tucked into her boot, "She mistakes her arrogance for bravery. Both dangerous traits for a fool."

"We've covered all the ground within 50 square miles Commander." Echo insists, "She has to be further North."
"It doesn't make SENSE if she's trying to get the flame!" Luna argues.
Lexa is irritable. Barely sleeping. Barely eating. The rings around her eyes growing everyday. When she does dream, she's bombarded by previous commanders inside the flame berating her for abandoning their customs, for going against tradition with everything she has been doing of late, warning her that this will all end in her demise.
