"We finally have you."

She looked smug as she reveled in her victory.

For all three seconds of it she must have felt like a winner.

Well the story is not over yet. (An: this one almost is, lol)

Finally shifting into my wolf form within my confines, the surge of energy and my rage helped me burst out.

All the way out of the containment.

Something no one was expecting based on the look on their faces when I grabbed one of them by the torso and tore her right in half. Landing on the ground I crushed her skull under my paw and watched as she also melted away in grey blobs.

Six more to go.

All of them simultaneously turned to Sarah, as though waiting for instructions. They seemed to be torn between coming to attack me or fleeing.
I watched them cautiously, trying to gauge their next move.

Would they go into fight or flight mode?

Turns out, both apparently seemed like improbable options since they opted with going invisible again.

They had nowhere to go though, hopefully. So they were still here, I just couldn't see them.
But I could definitely sense them.

I got a waft of their foul fish scent to my left and I turned quickly seeing nothing but reaching out anyway and I was met with nothing.

I felt a tiny bristle in my fur and more of the pungent fish odor from beside me. Looking towards the scent I made a grab for it but was again met with nothing.

Relax. Calm down. Stop looking and feel.

Okay.

I took a breath.

I closed my eyes, calmed my harsh breathing down while my heart rate also declined to a reasonable pace.

Focusing all my energy on my senses, particularly smell, I felt the stench from above me. Way above me.
Bunching up and tensing my legs I took another breath and then I leapt into the air, and angling my head at the last second I bit down on something and pulled it down with me. After I had the side of what felt like a torso in my mouth, I opened my eyes and saw that I'd grabbed another minion.

She was currently sputtering and choking and seemingly unable to cloak herself hence why I could currently see her.
I didn't dwell on that though. I proceeded to vigorously bite down and shake my head, ripping her apart. This one turned out a bit messier than I was going for, but she too (or more like the various scattered parts of her) melted away into grey goo like the rest of them.

Five left.
I shut my eyes and then took another leap.
This time I was met with some resistance, I managed to grab into a foot it seemed but I felt claws and nails trying to scratch and dig at my face.

Something even severely stabbed my snout, which I'm sure drew blood but again, this was something I could dwell on. Biting down harder on the leg, I ripped it off. A screaming screeching shadow mover came into focus, all her focus going into her missing limb while she became fully visible again.

She looked up at me as I approached her. She didn't seem terrified, she just looked mad and screeched at me like she'd accepted her fate and hated me for it.
She wasn't even worth my hate.

I pounced and ripped her head off all the while livid that I haven't gotten Sarah yet.

We were playing a very twisted version of Marco Polo, where they couldn't run and now it seemed that they couldn't hide either. I was picking them of one after the other. And I would get to her eventually.
