As I sprang at her, there was only one thing on my mind.
And it was way too violent to articulate.
But I was ready to do it.

And I was confident. Maybe a little too confident. Even though I'd worn myself out completely killing all the others I still reveled in the fact that I'd ended them.
And I was expecting Sarah not to be any different. A bit harder, but no different.

So when I landed behind her after a surge literally knocked me off my trajectory, I was momentarily stunned.

Quickly turning around I looked at her. She had let out a screech that literally caused sound waves to knock me off.

Huh. That was new.

"For so many years I fostered this coven. And now they're all gone." Her voice was low, menacing and seeping with bitterness. "Well it's time I introduce you to the real me."

Even as she spoke her skin turned dark. Like black leather kinda dark.
Her entire face morphed into something I can only describe as nightmare fuel.
Her eyes turned into white slits, her nose collapsed into two upturned holes and several sharp fangs sprouted out from her mouth. She looked like a weird mashup of venom and morbius. And I would have decided to look for more otherworldly creatures she resembles if I hadn't been distracted by the two sets of large dark leathery wings that popped up from behind her.

We'd come full circle.

She was finally in the same form I'd first seen her in.
And for some reason I felt like this was just her.
The others didn't seem like they could transform into this? Could they? If they could, why didn't they? Not that I'm complaining.

Screeching at me, she flapped her wings and lifted up of the ground. But not because she was flying, but because a massive dragon like tail sprouted out from under her. Her hands and feet shriveling up to a miniature size but still staying present like some form of weird T-Rex.

And as much as this new sight terrified me, I still saw the three lines gave me hope.
She still had the scratch marks on her shriveled up arm.
She was still Sarah but in a different form. An upgraded form.

"Take it all in, because I'll be the last thing you see pup."
Even her voice had upgraded. She sounded several octaves lower and like she'd been smoking since she was conceived.

Alpha, I don't know what that is, but you need to get out of there. And we need to leave now. Maybe we can keep it contained somehow.

Looking up at 'it' I knew we couldn't. One wrong move and she's out. We may all be out.

No, leave it up. And if you can, tell everyone to go. I need to end it today.

But surely Alpha you need assistance, we can try to come in and-

No! I don't want anymore people getting hurt. Just leave the barrier up, and... thank you. For everything.

Alpha-

I had to block her out from that point on because I saw Sarah try to pounce, I had to focus.
I really hope she doesn't breathe fire as well.

Screeching and slithering towards me I realised that if she could spit fire, she would have cremated me already.
She didn't look like she just wanted to fight me. She wanted revenge.

***

Charging at me, she suddenly flipped around and I could only stare on in slow motion as her massive tail flung out from behind her and sent me flying across the plain.

Before I had time to gather myself she pounced on me again, the scorpion like dagger tail shooting straight at me. I jumped out of the way just in time, and now that the novelty of ther horrid appearance had worn off me, I pounced on her back. And I slid right off.
Her leathery scales didn't give me much of a grip handle.
