Darkness.
I felt like I was sinking, in a sea of darkness, getting deeper and deeper by the minute.
I could see the light fade from above me as I went down further into the darkness, but I wasn't scared.
It was almost a welcoming feeling.
It felt peaceful.
I felt peaceful.
I felt free.
Even though I was sinking I didn't feel like I was being dragged down, I felt light, like I was just floating in air, further away from the light.
My mind was so full of nothing.
I felt like I was just existing in that particular moment in time, no past, no future, just that moment.
That moment filled with nothing but darkness and silence.
I knew I shouldn't have been okay with it, but I was.
Then I felt a stir.
Slowly the sea of darkness started to swirl around me light shining through right at where I was sinking to.
The lights appeared at numerous places beneath me but all harmonizing and dancing around together.
This almost made my mind wake up again. I nearly had a thought in my head, but the emptiness was overwhelming and I was just blank. But if I could have actually had thoughts at that moment, I would have said that the lights looked interesting and pretty, as they danced all around.
The dance became more vigorous and it soon started to look like a fight, each light fighting for dominance.
The lights clashed together till one finally managed to stand out at the middle, the others dimming down and dying out. Again, I would have thought this to be intriguing, but I couldn't.
The victor light floated up towards me and blinded me with its light.
It then morphed into scene right in front of me.
Out on an open field.
I was suddenly also in that field. No more darkness around me. I still felt light, but I could slowly hear my thoughts again.
This place seemed strange.
I proceeded to walk with caution but I stopped the moment I felt that I couldn't feel the ground beneath me.
I looked closely, my feet were touching the ground, that I could see.
But I felt nothing.
I looked up again, I saw a shadow approach me. The strange thing about it was, the shadow was surrounded by a halo of light, now how did that work?
As it got closer, I could see the shadow wasn't just a shadow but a person, a woman.
A slightly older woman approached, well, me... I guess.
She had long dark hair. And as she got even closer I noticed her brown eyes.
And a very warm smile.
She kinda looked familiar.
She spoke to me but it seemed like she was miles away, her voice only echoing in my mind.
"Go back sweetie, its not time yet."
She smiled and reached out her hand to me. I looked at her hand, it seemed to be shimmering. And the more I concentrated on it the fainter it got, it was becoming see-through.
I looked back up at her, and I got startled.
Her eyes, that had been warm brown before were now white, pure shining white.
I watched as her hair turned white before me, starting from the roots all the way to her ends.
I originally thought she was aging before me, but when I looked at her beautiful unchanged face I realised she wasn't.
And for some reason, as she stood there, eyes glowing white, hair white, hand outstretched towards me, I felt something click.
