Chapter 8

Flashback

Lisa's POV

The food I ordered was already in front of us and I instructed the food attendant not to come in unless I called them. Jennie looked at me with confusion but she never asked why.

"By the way i'm Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, you can call me Jennie." She introduced herself. " Are you sure we're going to eat here? It's too expensive here and we're in a private room. You probably don't intend to harm me, do you?" She said frankly. that made me giggle.

The two of us are here in a private room of the restaurant, I don't want anyone to see me when I take off my face mask while eating. "silly, I have no intention of harming you, I just don't want people to recognize me." She frowned, I removed my face mask and cup and I saw how her jaw dropped when she recognized who I was.

"I'm Lalisa Manoban, just Lisa for short." I wink at her and she covered her mouth and her eyes widened.

"Aren't I dreaming ?" She asked, trying to slap herself to find out if i was true or if she was just dreaming.

"You're not dreaming, Jennie, I'm real. Let's eat first , I'm really hungry." I told her .

We were eating but she kept looking at me and every time I caught her, she just smiled at me as if she still couldn't believe that I was Lisa.

We finished the food I immediately paid our bill and asked her to go back to where we hung out earlier. I noticed that she wasn't talking anymore but she agreed to go back there.

"Why are you not talking to me? It seems like you were making a lot of noise earlier." I tried to tease her . She scratched her head, obviously embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, I seem to be doubting if you are really Lisa."

"Do you need proof that I am really Lisa?" I asked her and she immediately nodded.

I took my phone and opened my instagram I showed her my account which has 94 M plus followers. I also showed my ID to make her believe that I am really Lisa. "I'm sorry for what I said earlier, I really can't kill people, but I hope you don't hurt Rosie." She said calmly.

"I know you can't kill me that's why I laughed. Do you really want to see Rosie in person?" She looked at me. God, her eyes were very expressive. She was obviously happy to hear what I said.

"I will be very happy, it's a dream come true for a fan to see her idol in person." She is still shy but she is cute

"I promise you that you will see her soon, under one condition." I shrug.

"anything please." She took my arm to get my attention.

"The hotel doesn't seem safe to me. I feel like I could be re-recognized anytime soon, so can I stay at your place while I'm here in Seoul? I'll pay you." She was shocked by what I said.

" My apartment is too small I don't even have any furniture except the bed and kitchen utensils and you might not feel comfortable." She mumbled.

"it's ok with me as long as I'm safe." She nodded.

I don't know but that's what I want, to be honest I'm supposed to be going back to the US tonight but I think it's ok to extend for a few days.

There is something about this woman that makes me want to know her. Her presence makes me feel happy. I think I like her.

Do you think she will like me too? I asked myself. I'm Lisa, I can take everything I want. What a confidence.
