Chapter 22

Present time

Lisa's POV

It's been a month since I found out that I had a daughter with Jennie, but unfortunately that night, was the time I was going back to America.

I tried to postpone my departure but my entertainment agency was so desperate that if I didn't come back that night they would sue me.

I went back to America, unable to understand what I was feeling.

I'm happy to know that I have a daughter but it hurts me that she doesn't know anything about me, and at the very moment when she was about to know me as her other parent, it was postponed because of my work.

I wasted no time when I went to America. I tried to finish all the recordings as soon as possible  I really want my daughter to know me as her other parent, to be with her and fill the years of her life that I am not by her side.

Jennie and I are constantly communicating to plan how we will tell our daughter about me.

I am trying to flirt with her and I can tell that somehow she is still affected and I will admit that I plan to win her back.

She told me that she is single and so am I. We have a daughter, maybe there is nothing wrong if I wish for us to be complete as a family, right?

It's just annoying that I made a promise to Rosie, before I came back to go on a date with the girl she wanted me to date. I told her about Jennie and our daughter, she wants to cancel the date but I know that she is worried.

The woman she set up for me is an influencer and that woman hopes that I will show up so I decided to continue the set up date even though I wasn't interested, somehow I don't want to embarrass my best friend by not showing up.

Promise it was just a simple dinner, that same time, I explained to her nicely that I am not interested in her, I apologized and she told me that she understood, that somehow she was happy that she had the chance to date me.

She invited me to drink at the bar and because I was guilty of rejecting her on our first and last date, I accepted her invitation to drink .

We drank with her friends who I also used to be in showbiz and I drove her home to her place because she was so drunk, nothing special happened.

The next morning I wanted to curse that woman because she posted on her social media a stolen photo of me while we were eating, which immediately drew many speculations that she was my girlfriend, which is the reason for Jennie's treatment towards me became aloof .

Now I'm back here in Seoul.

When I arrived at my house to drop my things, I immediately went to their new apartment because according to Jennie, I should have been there before our daughter arrived.

I knocked on the door i was shaking while I was carrying my gifts for her and our daughter, the door opened and Jennie greeted me with a serious face.

" Come in." She told me flatly which made me even more nervous.

I sat on the couch and she handed me water. "Relax, your daughter won't beat you. Even if she doesn't know anything about you and even if she doesn't ask, I also feel that she wants to meet you." even though the tone of her voice is cold as ice, I know that she still cares for me

She told me that our daughter never asked where her other parent was, even if she wanted to say that it was me, she was afraid of the possibility that our daughter would find a way to meet me, and I will not accept her.

 She doesn't want our daughter to be hurt when that happens so she decides that she will tell me the truth first and when I accept our daughter only then will she introduce us to each other.

"hey, are you okay?" She snapped me out of my thoughts.

"ohh yeah, sorry I'm just nervous." I smiled at her before handing the paper bag .

" what's this for?" She frowned.

"how about the idea that we fix our relationship for..........." I try my best to be brave enough to tell her what I feel and what I want to happen but she cuts me off

" Sort yourself out Lisa, how can you say that while you are in a relationship with another woman? Now that you know that you have a daughter, I hope you stop collecting women if you don't want your daughter to follow what you are doing." She rolled his eyes.

They really thought I had a lot of women, they didn't know I was one of the most loyal people in the world, except for Jennie, I didn't have a relationship with anyone else.

my gosh, it's really hard to be handsome, I giggled at the thought. I was about to explain, but I was interrupted when the door suddenly opened.

"Mom, I'm home." She announced her presence as she opened the door, and there she was, my very beautiful daughter, her smile changed to confusion when she noticed my presence.

Jennie approached her and kissed her on the cheek while I was nailing my butt to the couch because I couldn't move, i was so nervous.

"We have a guest." Jennie said calmly they looked at me I don't know but I feel awkward with my smile.

I feel like I want to pass out as she smiles at me. " Lisa Eunnie, I thought you were still in America for your album and How did you know about my new apartment?" She asked.

" ahhhh,ammmm,,,," shit I don't know what to say.

"I was the one who invited her to come here. We need to talk about something but for now, we need to eat dinner first, otherwise the food I prepare will get cold." Jennie saved me.

My daughter looked confused but she tried to smile

"ohhh okay. I didn't know you two knew each other." I froze when she came to me and hugged me.

I wanted to be emotional but I tried to hold back. " I miss you Lisa eunni, by the way welcome to my humble home." before I could hug back, she already broke the hug.

"relax Lisa eunnie, you look nervous let's eat first, you need to taste my mom's cooking, it's so delicious." She told me proudly.

I know it's not just her cooking that's delicious, she herself is also delicious.

The perverted nature of my thinking is coming out. You can't blame me because the last time I had sex was when we made our daughter .

Gosh, it's been a while, how old is our daughter Lisa? your sex life is so boring. I chuckled in my mind but my body was shaking with nervousness.
