Chapter 9

Flashback

Jennie's POV

I woke up early because I needed to cook for my guest before I left for work, I got up and noticed that Lisa was no longer by my side, I went to the bathroom to do my morning routine, then I went out.

Lisa looked at me when I opened the door she was talking on the phone but she smiled at me and I smiled back at her.

I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

my gosh, it's embarrassing, I think I can only serve pancakes for her, I forgot to go buy some groceries .

stupid Jennie, nevermind the important thing is I have food to give her.

I started cooking when Lisa went in the kitchen. "good morning." She greeted me warmly.

"good morning Lisa, sorry I can only feed you pancakes for today , I haven't done grocery shopping yet." I shyly told her.

"No need to worry ,I like pancakes and that's all I eat for breakfast with coffee." I breathed a sigh of relief, she sat on the chair and watched what I was doing .

"You told me last night that you were going to work? You look so young, I think at your age you should be studying." She asked.

"I'm still young, but I'm at the legal age of 18. I want to go to college, but it's hard for me because I'm alone in life, both of my parents have died when i was 13. I have to work to support myself." I smile at her.

"sorry to hear that, do you earn enough?"

" My job at the convenience store is just for my rent and food every day, Good thing I thought of selling online , no capital required, only thick face and confidence ." we both chuckled.

"how about you, I know you have a lot of money , I'm just curious how the life of a famous Lalisa Manoban that everyone is talking about" I decided to put the mixture in the pan and I heated water for her coffee.

" what do you think?" She raised her shoulders .

Her stares seem to penetrate my soul, I feel my chest tighten. wait, do I have a heart disease? no i don't think so, maybe because I'm not used to someone staring at me the way she did.

"As a fan of your Girlfriend , I feel that the situation is very complicated if you are an artist. I feel that you have no freedom.

Your every move is being watched by people. People will hate you for the reasons that are not valid . To be honest, I am upset at the hate that Rosie received when the dating issue between the two of you came out. Why do they have to hate my Rosie ? she just loved you, what's wrong with that? Like hello!! how do people react like they are the ones who will sleep next to you in bed and make love to you ." I said sarcastically and she laughed.

"yeah you're right the life of an artist is very complex , it's fun but it's tiring. We want to live a normal life but look at me.

I have to wear a face mask so people don't recognize me and about me and Rosie, We're not in a relationship, she is my best friend but we're not allowed to give a statement on the issue because the company wants people to talk about us. It's an effective way to promote and it's free." I was shocked by what she said.

So they're not in a relationship? I don't know how to feel.

When I met Lisa yesterday, I said to myself that they are perfect for each other, Lisa is a bit weird but she seems like a good person.

She is just a bit noisy when she sleeps because of her cute snores but she looks harmless. I secretly giggled at my thoughts .

"oh ok, at least now I know that you won't hurt my rosie." I shrug, she smiled at me, I gave her the first pancake that was cooked and handed her the cup of coffee.

"Thank you. You know you are beautiful and charming.

Yesterday i saw you dancing, you are good and your voice is beautiful when you speak. I am sure you are also good at singing. Why don't you try auditioning, Kpop music is very popular internationally nowadays." She said before taking a bite of the pancake.

" and wow, this pancake is so tasty, I think I can eat ten of these." She added.

" even if there is an opportunity I would not dare to exchange my simple and peaceful life to fame.

I don't want people giving a lot of attention to me and following me. I don't want to stop myself from doing the things I want to do, just because I have to think about my reputation. I don't want people to judge me just because they're jealous .

So No, let's just say I'm not blessed with a lot of money like you, but I'm happy with what i have . I have friends who push me to audition for entertainment companies but I don't dare. I would rather live a peaceful life than be in the limelight. " she smiled and nodded.

After my eight hours of duty, I immediately went to the market to buy something to cook for dinner. I couldn't buy in bulk, especially meat and fish because I didn't have a refrigerator to store it.

When I arrived in front of my apartment, I flipped the door mat because I told Lisa earlier to leave the key when she wants to go somewhere, the key is here so that means Lisa left.

I opened the door and my eyes widened at what I saw.

I even looked outside the door again to make sure I entered the right apartment.

What the fuck, when did I have a big television? I quickly went to the kitchen and I was even more surprised that I had a big refrigerator and next to it there was also a hi-tech washing machine.

I opened the fridge and it was full of different kinds of meat, fish and drinks. I came back from the thought of someone knocking on the door, I went and immediately opened it.

It's lisa, she's holding some take out foods.

"Hi, I thought about taking out food because I thought you were tired and didn't have time to cook. " She closed the door and went to the table and put what she brought there as if she didn't do anything weird.

"Lisa, what does this mean?" I asked.

" Ruby jane , you need to understand that I'm not used to without television so I bought one, I don't have anything to eat either so I thought of buying a refrigerator to store the food I bought and I don't know how to do laundry so I bought a washing machine and I already took your dirty clothes to wash with mine and hung them on the window inside your room." she said, is this girl crazy?

I frowned and went to the room and I closed my eyes in prostration because she washed my panties as well and they were all hanging next to her boxers.

I went back to the living room and I blushed, I didn't know what to say while she just smiled as if she was proud of what she did.

" Lisa, you don't have to do this .I will pay for everything, but I will save up first and .. "

"No need , consider this as a thank you for letting me stay here in your place." She smiled, the things that happened have not yet been processed and I don't know what to say.

I don't know how I will feel, should I be thankful? or should be afraid of what she is doing?

The sofa should be the first thing I would buy, but I think I need to save up to pay for everything she bought.

I don't want her to think that I took advantage of her.
