Chapter 23

Lisa's nervousness was reduced because of the playful argument between Jennie, and their daughter. She can't stop herself from smiling as she thinks that her daughter has not only her physical features but also her naughty nature.

The whole dinner Lisa, was silently listening to the mother and daughter's conversation in front of her while her daughter looked at her from time to time reading her behavior.

Lisa's heart softens to see how close they were to each other, at the same time she feels envious that for 13 years of her daughter's life she was not there.

After they ate they settled in the living room and Lisa, started shaking because of thinking about her daughter's reaction.

"So, maybe you can tell me now why we are here and how you met my mom, Lisa eunnie? I just looked calm but my mind was confused because of your unexpected visit."  the young lady broke the awkward silence she was eager to know if the speculation forming in her mind was true.

"Quentin, you probably know Lisa's, condition that she is an intersexual, right?" Jennie knows that her daughter is smart enough to understand what she wants to convey.

Her daughter frowned at her  and Lisa became even more nervous when she looked at her and turned her gaze to Jennie. She gave her  mom a questioning look, Jennie nodded while smiling thinking that her daughter already have an idea.

"How old were you when you got pregnant  mom?"

"19." Jennie replied shortly while Lisa was still confused.

" You're so young, so i was made by mistake? okay, let me guess." She pretends to  think "hmmmmm. you had a one night stand with her then you got pregnant without her knowing, right?" Lisa's eyes widened when she heard it while Jennie, just shook her head because of her daughter's imagination.

"Stop reading a lot of novel Quentin, your imagination is getting worse . You are not made by mistake, it's hard to admit  but we both loved each other way back then, that's why you happened. You were made of our love,I don't want you to think that you are a mistake . okay? it looks like my job is done here, you already know that she is your other parent, I'll let both of you talk first, if you have any questions, just ask Lisa." Jennie went to the kitchen and left the two of them in the living room.

Lisa was dumbfounded, she didn't know what was going on, she thought the scenario would be so emotional  but she didn't expect the revelation of her daughter's true identity to be this light.

"So, when did you know that I was your daughter, mentor Lisa?" Lisa's daughter tries to tease her because she is obviously nervous.

" a month ago before I went back to America. I saw you and Jennie at the mall and I heard you call her Mom, and at that moment I already assumed that you are also mine, to think that you are half Thai and Korean and your mom is Jennie. Me and your mom are together but broke up 14 years ago." Lisa is nervous but she tries to be stable so that she can explain properly.

"We broke up not because we don't love each other anymore but because your mom can't fit in my chosen world . She's afraid of being judged by people so we talked about it and ended our relationship. We also agreed to block each other  maybe that's the reason why I didn't know that I got her pregnant" Lisa became comfortable telling her daughter how their love story started.

They both laughed when she told her  how her mom became her girlfriend, and the young lady was so amazed to hear the type of love story of her parents that she thought she could only read a novel.
