Chapter 32

" hi mom , why are you drinking? where is dada?" Chiquita was confused because it was very unusual to see her mom drinking, and she noticed that her eyes were swollen from crying.

Jennie smiled at her daughter as she put the beer she was holding on the table and hugged her.

"How was your day baby?" Jennie asked as she kissed Chiquita on the cheek before she grabbed the beer and sat down on the couch.

"I just came home a few hours late mom, what happened here, where is dada?" the young lady nervously asked her mother, thinking of possible scenarios that happened .

"Don't worry, your dada is still alive, she just passed out because I threw a candle at her and i also hit her with an ice bag, i think she will wake up anytime soon." Jennie said casually, making Chiquita's jaw drop and her eyes widen

"what!!! why did you do that." Chiquita dropped her bag and sat on the couch.

"Your aunt Rosie, called and said that your dada i got other women  pregnant. Congratulations, you're gonna have a brother or sister soon." Jennie cried and immediately put the beer she was holding in her mouth.

Chiquita didn't know how she would react, she wanted to cry thinking that her parents might get separated again but her thoughts were averted when she noticed her dada, coming down the stairs holding her forehead with a big lump.

"You should have let me explain first honey ." Lisa said she approached her daughter who was still dumbfounded.

She kissed her on the forehead. "You won't have siblings from another mother, you understand? Only from your mom." Lisa assured her daughter as she took the beer from Jennie's hand and put it on the table.

Chiquita felt relieved at what her dada said and she just shook her head at the thought that her mom, was carried away with the wrong assumption, but She understood  that  her mom was just shocked and it was sometimes normal for her to react like that.

She thinks that her mom didn't mean to hurt her dada.

Chiquita knows her mom so well, she reacts immediately to things that happen based on what she heard or saw, at the same time she knows that when her anger subsides, she is willing to listen.

She is confident enough that her parents will be okay, as long as her dada will explain it to her. She just smiled to see her dada kneel down in the middle of her mom's legs.

Lisa wiped Jennie's tears. "promise I never had sex with anyone except you." Lisa said softly while staring seriously into Jennie's eyes.

"If you didn't have sex with her, why would she say that you are the one who got her pregnant." Jennie sobbed but she was obviously willing to listen to Lisa's explanation, while their daughter took the chips that were on the table and smiled while looking at the drama of her parents.

What she thinks is that she is witnessing live the continuation of her favorite book of her parents' love story, written by her mother and  given to her on her birthday.

"I don't know, maybe because she woke up naked when she woke up in the morning? maybe she thought that something happened to us because I was the one who brought her to her apartment that night.

I promise, nothing happened, when I drove her to her apartment she was so drunk and she took off  all her clothes in front of me, I promised I didn't touch her, I left immediately." Lisa explained sincerely while holding her wife's hand.
