Alexa's POV

"Okay, Lexi, they said you can come home," Momma said as she came into the room with some clothes. She went home to get some this morning. I was scared when she left, but I knew she'd come back for me. I changed out of my hospital gown to the clothes that Momma had brought. Once I was changed, I grabbed Momma's hand. We held hands as we walked out of the hospital that I had been staying in for the past couple of days. The only thing I liked about it was the food, but I missed my home. And the food is better at home, anyways. I fell asleep on the way home. Once we were home, Momma placed a hand on my knee. That enough to wake me up. "Hey, baby, we're home," she said softly. I rubbed my eyes. "Still tired?" I nodded. I didn't sleep well at the hospital at all. I was too nervous. Momma got out of the car and opened my door. I unbuckled myself and let her pick me up and carry me inside. When I was in her arms, I laid my head down on her shoulder. I missed her so much. She carried me to her room and sat me under the covers on her bed. She crawled in with me, and I snuggled into her. I missed the feeling of her arms wrapped around me. I never wanted her to let go. It didn't take long for me to go back into a deep sleep.

I was in the woods running, but I don't know what I was running from and I don't know where I was going. It was dark, and I could barely see two feet ahead of me. I heard a gun fire, and I cringed. I don't know where it came from or where it had fired to. I kept running until I tripped and fell. Before I had time to get back up, I felt something on top of me. I looked up to see a tall figure with his foot holding me down. Why wasn't I strong enough to get from under his foot? He bent down and rolled me over. His hands went in my pants, and I got so scared that I started to scream.

Demi's POV

Alexa started screaming and wiggling in my arms. "Get off!" She screamed as she tried to push me away, her eyes still shut tight.

"Lexi, hey, it's okay," I said, trying to be louder than her screams.

"Get off!"

I didn't want to let go because I didn't want her falling off of the bed. "Lexi, it's me. It's Momma!" At the sound of 'Momma', her eyes shot open.

"Mooooomaaaa!" She screamed before realizing that she was in my arms. Once she saw me, she came in close again. "I'm sorry," she whispered through tears.

"Shhh, it's okay, baby. I'm right here," I said calmly.

"What was he going to do?" She asked in a hoarse voice.

"What do you mean, what was happening?"

"He wanted to-he wanted to take off-take off my clothes," she stuttered.

I pulled her back in close to me. "It's okay, Lexi."

"What was he going to do?"

How was I supposed to explain this to a six year old? "He was trying to hurt you. But he can't. I'm here."

"What if he comes back?" She asked with fear in her voice.

"He's not going to. I'm here."

"They're going to take me away," she whined. "They're going to take me away again."

"No, Lexi, they aren't. That was their mistake, and I'm going to make sure that it will NEVER happen again. Okay?"

"Okay," she nodded with a sniffle. I pulled her in again. I never wanted this to be taken away from me again. She's in my arms, and I never want to let her go.

So much has happened in the short time that I've had Alexa. I remember when I first found her outside of that restaurant. She was curled up, trying to stay warm from the cold rain. I remember when she never wanted to talk. She was too afraid to. But I eventually got her to talk, and she had the most darling voice. As my little girl grows up, I pray that she will never loose the angelic sweetness of her smile, her laugh. She will always be my little Angel.
