Alexa'sPOV

When I woke up, the sun was using through my window. I laid in bed thinking for a while. I was really Hoping Demi wasn't mad about last night. I don't even know why I wet the bed. I just remember feeling sticky, and when I moved ny leg, I felt moisture. I went to get Demi, but I was too scared to go I to her room. I waited in the hallway, and right when I was about to go back to my room, she woke up. I was scared that I had made the mistake of waking her up, but she didn't seem upset. I just hope she isn't mad about it this morning.

After a while, I decided to get out of bed. I went down stairs and saw the shopping bags from yesterday. I decided to start putting away all of the clothes. I managed to drag all of the bags up the stairs. I had to make a few trips to get all of them. I was always careful not to make any noise as I passed by Demi's room. She was still sleeping. Once I got all of the bags to my room, I started organizing. I separated shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, and dresses. I put socks and underwear together. Then I started putting the clothes in drawers of the dresser that was already in my room. After that, I hung up my dresses. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to put the dress on the hanger, but I eventually figured it out. I saw some hung up at the store, so I just copied that. It took a while to put everything away. Demi spent A LOT of money on me.

After I put the last dress in my closet, I turned around and unexpectantly saw Demi standing in my doorway, making me jump.

"Sorry," she said with a small giggle. "I didn't mean to scare you."

I smiled shyly, embarrassed by my reaction.

"Are you hungry?" She asked. I nodded. "Come on, you can help me make pancakes."

I followed her down to her kitchen, and waited as she start getting all of the ingredients out of her cabinets and refrigerator. "Here, I'll put the ingredients into this bowl," she said, grabbing a bowl from the dish drying rack. "And you can stir." She grabbed a whisk and handed it to me. Every time she added something new to the bowl, I stirred until there weren't any more clumps. Then, she scooped some batter onto a pan on the stove. I watched as they cooked into round, perfectly golden pancakes. They tasted really good, too.

After eating, we sat down on the couch. "Thanks for putting all of your clothes away," Demi said. "Great job." We both looked over to where the bags used to sit. There was one more that I forgot. "What's in this one?" Demi asked as she walked to it. I stayed standing behind the couch. "Shoes," Demi said while looking in the bag. My heart dropped and I frowned. I wanted to do something right. I wanted to do something that made Demi like me. She looked over to me, and my heart started beating fast. I didn't want her to be upset with me. "What's wrong, Lexi?" She asked. I could feel tears start to form. I always got in trouble at the care home if I did't do something good enough. "Don't be sad," Demi said as she sat in front of me. "It's just a few pairs of shoes, it's okay. Do you think I'm upset with you?" I quickly nodded and started rubbing my eyes. "I'm not upset. I didn't even expect you to put the clothes away by yourself. Why would I expect you to do all of it? It's okay," she assured me as she pulled me into a hug. I forced all of my tears to stop while in the hug. "Let's go put these away." I nodded and followed right behind Demi up to my room. I took the bag of shoes from her and put them with their pairs in the closet. "Good job," Demi said as I walked back to her. I slightly smiled up at her. I'm glad she wasn't mad at me.
