Y/n plopped down onto the picnic blanket, letting out a content sigh as she took in the sight of the beautiful day. Raiden turned to her with a curious expression, "You mentioned 'chips' in your letter, yes?"
Y/n grinned, then began to search her inventory, finally pulling out a crinkly packet of sweet chili flavored potato chips. She held it up high, announcing it to the group as though it was a rare artifact. "Behold! The legendary potato chips! They're not really handmade, per se...More like mass produced by a legion of hardworking robots in my cozy teapot realm," she said, with a playful wink.
The three companions all leaned in curiously, eyes wide as the food just appeared into existence. Sasayori, the Tengu general, his expression a mix of confusion and intrigue, cautiously picked up a chip. He turned it over in his fingers, studying it with the precision of a battlefield strategist assessing a new weapon.
Beside him, Chiyo, the Oni with her elegant raven hair and striking horns, and red eyes gleaming, took a chip with a more confident air. She studied it briefly, then popped it in her mouth. Her eyes widened as the crunch resounded in her ears, and she quickly grabbed a handful more.
Then there was Saiguu, the Kitsune, her white hair and fur gleaming under the sun, her fox-like ears twitching in curiosity. She delicately picked up a chip, sniffing it before she bit into it. Her face lit up as the salty tang of the chip hit her taste buds, and she quickly joined Chiyo in emptying the bag.
"Wow! This is good!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement. "Oh, did you see my painting of you as Kuro no Manto on the tournament poster?"
Y/n nodded, a playful glint in her eyes. "Ah, so you were the artist behind my intimidating alter ego! I'd say the dark cloak gave me a rather mysterious, almost villainous vibe. Quite the opposite of my sunny disposition, wouldn't you say?"
Saiguu's sly grin widened, "I merely painted the picture that the story dictated."
Y/n's eyes widened in mock surprise, "There's a story? Why am I always the last to know?"
Saiguu grinned. "Indeed! 'Shadows of Inazuma: The Epic Saga of Kuro no Manto' it's called. A tale as old as time, actually... Here, I happen to have a copy."
As Y/n skimmed through the scroll, she stopped dead in her tracks when her eyes fell on the final chapter. It was a blatant reference to an anime:
"And so it came to pass, that Kuro no Manto, the veiled guardian of shadows, found herself locked in battle with Sukuna, the malevolent spirit harboring cursed power. As lightning streaked across the blackened skies, Kuro no Manto moved with such speed that she seemed to exist in multiple places at once. Her cape, as dark as the night itself, billowed behind her, as she deftly wove through Sukuna's malicious tendrils. It is said that her power was so immense, the earth trembled at her very whisper. With a thunderous cry, she unleashed a torrent of obsidian blades, purging the foul corruption that threatened to engulf the world. Standing atop the highest peak, overlooking the purified land, Kuro no Manto proclaimed, 'Throughout the Heavens and Earth, I alone am the honored one.' With these words, the shadowy figure vanished into the night like a wisp of smoke, leaving behind a world forever in her debt. Her final words whispered through the winds, 'GG, my compatriots. It's time to hit Alt+F4 on this reality!' And thus, Kuro no Manto disappeared, and she was never seen again."
Y/n's eyebrows shot up so high they nearly merged with her hairline. Only her closest friends who had visited the serenitea pot were privy to her love for this particular anime. "Alright, who's the wise guy?"
