Hey everyone,

I've got a bit of news about this fic. Sorry for the sudden drop, but I've decided to stop working on it. Here's a bit of insight into why:

1. I'm in the middle of my A levels and, honestly, my grades are REALLY bad and I'm struggling to keep up. It's gotten to the point where trying to juggle writing on top of everything else is just too much for me, both mentally and physically.

2. I started this thing when I was 16 and, fast forward to 18, my feelings about it have changed a lot. It's not that it's all bad, but looking back, the plot's a mess and it's just not sitting right with me anymore. The whole thing feels scattered, and even I get lost with the lore since I was figuring it out as I went. Ended up scrapping or changing major plot points halfway through, which didn't help.

3. This was my first crack at a fic and, wow, did I write a ton. It's been a rollercoaster, but the chaos of planning and how the characters turned out—especially Xenon and Y/n—didn't really end up where I wanted it to be.

With all that said, there might be a rewrite if I find some more time down the line. I've actually started on a few chapters, but nothing's ready to share yet. If waiting's not your thing (and I get it, no hard promises on a release date), I'm spoiling the whole story and all the plot twists below:

Training:

So, right after the last chapter, Y/n is back at it, training with Skirk. This time, she's unlocking the quantum element, which she did this by modifying her own code. While she was at it, she figured out that most of her skills, like hacking and stuff, come from the imaginary element. Makes sense, since her dad/creator, Freyr, was Imaginary too.

Y/n's training ground was the abyss, where time flows weird. 200 years had flown by, while back in Teyvat, it's just been a few weeks. After getting stronger, Y/n popped over to Tenshukaku to catch up with Ei and see how she's doing. Plus, she got to hang out with Kuni, which was cool.

Ei's farewell:

Things got kinda emotional when Ei and Kuni had to say goodbye. Miko was pretty ticked off because no matter what she said, she couldn't convince Ei to stay out of her realm. Ei left, trusting Y/n and Miko to look after Kuni, who was disappointed but got where Ei was coming from, since Ei's a mother figure to him.

Kuni's next big idea was to hit the road with Y/n and dive into alchemy with Albedo, looking up to Y/n since they're both synthetic humans and all. Pierro was sniffing around, wanting Kuni for the Fatui, but Y/n was having none of it. She didn't want Kuni tricked into joining. Pierro was all, "Fine, do it your way. I just care about results."

Y/n took this chance to show Kuni the real deal about the Fatui, the good, the bad, and the ugly, letting him make up his own mind about joining. During their travels, Kuni was there for the Tatarasuna incident, chilling with Niwa. Things got heated when Escher (aka Dottore in disguise) showed up, about to off Niwa, but Y/n stepped in and killed Dottore's segment right then and there. Kuni was shocked to see that the Fontaine mechanic, Y/n's coworker in disguise, was the target, and Y/n explained Dottore broke his no-harm promise for the sake of his experiments.

After seeing all this, Kuni got a full picture of the Fatui's shades of gray. Sure, there are some real psychos in the mix, but at its core, the organization's aiming for something great, even if their methods are a bit sketchy. In the end, Kuni decided to join the Fatui, committed to helping achieve Tsaritsa's goal.

This brings us back to...chapter 61.

Fatui arc

Kuni really started to find his footing, receiving his insignia and kicking off his training with the other Fatui recruits, all under Y/n's watchful eye for various missions. Meanwhile, the meeting between Rhinedottir, Albedo and Sandrone was held. Y/n asked Rhinedottir about it, and she said they talked about "Ruin guard blueprints." Y/n found Rhinedottir's nonchalance suspicious and later prodded Albedo for more info, but he dodged the question like a pro.

As Y/n led the recruits through their paces, Kuni's skills skyrocketed thanks to some intensive private training. Seeing his determination, Y/n decided to unlock Ei's divine powers within him, of course, only after getting the green light from Ei and Miko themselves. Fast forward a few years, and boom—Kuni's now Scaramouche, the 6th Harbinger.

Things got even weirder with Rhinedottir and Sandrone holding way too many "private meetings" about ruin guards. Albedo, ever the silent type on this topic, offered no insights, only adding to the intrigue.

Then, out of nowhere, Dottore introduces a new recruit who's lasted unusually long without becoming another one of his experiments—a rarity. This "mysterious alchemist" became known for his unparalleled skills in alchemy and an eerily robotic adherence to Dottore's commands, clearly showing signs of manipulation.

Y/n, ever the mentor, confronted the Alchemist about being Dottore's puppet. For the first time, the Alchemist saw the truth in Y/n's words, breaking free from Dottore's control and starting to think for himself.

However, a chilling mystery begins to unfold around Y/n. She starts waking up in random places with no memory of how she got there, finding mysterious scars on her body. Initially dismissing these occurrences as sleepwalking, the increasing frequency and length of these memory gaps send her into a panic. By the time she realizes something is seriously wrong, it seems too late to turn back.

This brings us to...the Act 2 intro.

After that, chapter 40.

feel free to reread it in order.

The bombshell of the season? The Alchemist, shrouded in mystery, turns out to be Y/n's brother, a time traveler from the distant past, now unmasked. Surprised? Probably not by now. Chapter 40 throws us another curveball with Phoenix's betrayal of Dottore. Yep, that happened.

In a climactic battle, Phoenix goes all out against Dottore's segments and Fatui recruits, ultimately paying the ultimate price. As Y/n stands on the brink of consciousness, a voice urges her to collect Phoenix's ashes and return them to the ruins of Khaenri'ah, under the shadow of impending disaster.

Following this cryptic advice, Y/n takes Phoenix's remains to Rhinedottir's lab in Khaenri'ah, where an unexpected reunion unfolds. The crew, including Freyr, Xenon, and Cleo's hologram, alongside Sandrone, Rhinedottir, Alice, and Albedo in the flesh, gathers. Wait. Sandrone? Wtf is she doing here? Hehe...turns out, Sandrone is actually Guizhong in disguise, and yes, she's very much alive.

After a lengthy and tense discussion, Rhinedottir and Freyr set to work on Phoenix's body, transforming it into a new form that looks exactly like the present Xenon. Guizhong then sends Phoenix back to his time during the Archon War, adding layers upon layers to the storyline.

With Guizhong's assistance and the power of the Electro Gnosis borrowed from Miko, Y/n acquires a special skill from Freyr's online shop to mend the portal, guided through the sea of Quanta back to Earth with Guizhong's help.

Back on Earth and reunited with the gang, Y/n uncovers another astonishing truth: Cleo's adoptive mother is actually Guizhong, again, in disguise, all along. This revelation means Y/n had known Guizhong since childhood, long before her adventures in Teyvat began. Time travel sure does make the universe a small place.

And so, our story finds its pause here, but Y/n's journey is far from over. She becomes an interdimensional traveler, weaving in and out of Teyvat's main storyline, lending a hand to the Traveler and playing a part in the unfolding epic of Genshin Impact.

Confused? That's totally valid. I will add a few additional chapters at the back after a few days; including Guizhong's, Freyr, and Xenon's perspectives. Stay tuned in you're interested!
