I can feel myself losing consciousness.

The lights and things around me seem blurry.

It's kind of like my vision is failing me--as if I was going blind.

But I'm not.

Come on Laz! Stay awake, my mind tries to command me.

It's no use. It's not going to work.

I'll fall unconscious just as I have done in the past weeks.

My eye twitches.

Then...there's darkness.

─┉─¡! • !¡─┉─

I find myself waking in a daze....

I see Oko angrily storming out.

I don't remember what I did, but it must have pissed him off.

I rub my head. I rub my temples in attempts to sooth my aching head-but the attempts are in vain. They don't seem to work. "What happened?" I murmur.

Gregory barges in. The task force of Daskanalasć is behind him.

Well, not all of the task force, but a large amount of them.

He peers in. "You did it Laszlo! You actually did it!"

"I did what?" I ask, my head still aching.

Gregory laughs, sort of menacingly. "You called the task force on Oko the sinner."

My heart sinks. It feels like there's a lump in my throat. "I-I d-did t-that?" I stutter. My heart is racing. It feels like my air-ways are closing up. I can't breathe.

Gregory chuckles slightly as he nods. "Yes. You did that. I'm surprised."

I feel so upset with myself that I could just faint right here and right now.

Gregory says, "Well...it wasn't really you."

"Thank god," I breathe a sigh of relief.

Gregory then begins, "But...on the other hand..."

"What?" My sounds somewhat frantic. I can't let anything happen to Oko. He's my friend. Is it weird that I actually really like him? Even though he's asexual, he is homoromantic.... Could we actually run away together...? No, Laszlo. You can't. You've got to stay here and help Oko.

Gregory informs me, "I know a thing or two about mind-control. I picked it up when I was in Tsar Maximoff's School For The Gifted-by gifted they mean intelligent and sly; not all of power crap. It's actually quite easy to do. But, someone of your kind couldn't understand me."

I angrily huff. Racist, my mind says about Gregory.

Gregory says, "What I'm trying to say is that I mind controlled you."

I clench my hands into fists.

Calm down, my mind tries to coax.

It doesn't work.

I lunge toward him. I knock Gregory over and start swinging at him.

The task force chief pulled me off Gregory, yelling, "That's enough!"

He helps Gregory up and asks, "Now where is Mister Martinez?"

Gregory rubs his hands together, all mischievous like. "I'll be honored to tell you where that sinner is!"

I try to run at him again.

The police chief yells, "Ivanova and Wentz hold Mister Chang back. Mister Wheller told me that he'd be a problem."

Gregory smiles. "And I was right. He was a problem." He stalks off.

The task force follows him.

Wentz is just staring forward with a firm grasp around my arm. He doesn't care what the Tsar calls for. He just does as he's told.

I glance at his name tag it says...Uriah Wentz.

But Ivanova...she seems different.

Ivanova looks pained to be doing this.

Her name tag reads, 'Katiya Ivanova'.

She notices me looking at her. She then whispers under her breath, "Sorry."

That's when I notice it.

Katiya has a slit in her eyebrow.

She's just like me.

Katiya only looks like she's thirteen. She's a baby gay.

Just then the task force and Gregory come back, dragging Oko out.

I wince at the sight of him.

Guards have a hold of Tyler too.

The chief talks into his communication device. "O. Martinez has been captured. T. Daa'uud and L. Chang have been neutralized." He turns toward Gregory. "Now Mister Wheller, how would you like a job in the task force?"

Gregory smiles. "I'd love it. But before we go..."

"What?" a guard named, Holmes asks.

"Laszlo is a gay too." Gregory smirks turning toward me.

My eyes grow wide giving off the expression of 'what the hell Gregory? We've known each other since first grade! How could do this?'

Gregory chuckles slightly and quietly.

"Wentz step away from Mister Chang," the chief commands.

Wentz complies and does as he's told. He steps away from me. He looks at me with a look of disgust on his face.

The chief calls out, "Ivanova, taze him."

Katiya moves in front of me and wipes out the taser. She mouths, "I'm so sorry," on repeat. Katiya raises the taser up. She looks like she's going to burst out crying.

The chief yells, "Come on Ivanova! We don't have all night!"

Katiya whispers one last time, "Sorry." She tased me at the highest voltage.

Then, the world went black.

My eyes slowly opened. The lights of Gabriel's place flood my vision.

I still feel weak.

And as predicted, I fall unconscious again.
