I'm just now stirring back into consciousness. My purple eyes need a moment to readjust to the dim light.
My head is throbbing horribly. "This hurts like hell…" I say.
Kyle, who is in the cell beside me, "Well you're bound to get a headache from blood loss."
Craig nods. "Yeah. Ky is right."
"Ky? You guys give each other pet names? That's...," I trail off.
"You're just mad you don't have a boyfriend," Craig snickers.
I roll my purple eyes. I notice I have a jacket draped on my shoulders. And I have fabric covering my wound on my abdomen. "How…?" I begin.
Craig tells me, "You have a guardian angel. He came in and helped you out there."
I ask Craig, "What was his name?"
Craig tells me, "He said his name was Obsidian Yakivev."
Suddenly, a guard bursts in, corralling a boy into the cell beside us. "You know your place 0984."
The cell is slams shut and the guard leaves.
The boy with red hair and green eyes looks at us. "What's up boys? I'm Jack von Muller."
I huff. "This will be fun."
Jack yells at me, "Shut up, guyliner!" He looks at us and says, "What's your names?"
"Craig Romanov."
"Kyle Kozlov," Kyle says.
"Gabriel Vladimirov."
Jack rolls his eyes. "No one asked for you to talk, guyliner."
I roll my eyes at him.
"So, uh Kyle did you know I'm bisexual? What are you?" Jack asks, biting his lip, seductively.
"I'm gay," Kyle tells Jack.
Jack tries to bat his eyelashes and tries to make himself look hot, but it only makes him look like he has rabies. "You know, right know, I'd bust out of here, and save you. Maybe we'd fall in love... you'd fall for me. And I'd bang you so hard that-" he gets cut off.
"You need to shut up right now," Craig says after acknowledging Kyle's discomfort in the conversation, standing up with his hands formed like fists.
"Dude, do you have a problem? Because I'll go right now! We can go! We can fight right now! I'll totally kick your ass!" Jack shouts.
Kyle then mutters, "Except the fact that you're locked in a cage."
Jack shoots a look at Kyle. "Now, what was that, pretty boy?"
"God, you're annoying," Kyle mumbles.
Jack puts his ear to the bar. "What was that? I couldn't hear you?"
Kyle tries again to speak, but Jack complains he can't hear him.
Finally Kyle yells, "Jack, you're such an annoying douche bag!"
Craig and I exchange glances.
"Jeez, Kyle," Craig says. "Take it easy, babe."
Kyle looks away, ashamed for screaming. "Sorry."
Craig smiles. "It's okay. He deserved it."
"I did not!" Jack shouts.
Craig and Jack begin to bicker again.
Then, I feel myself fading out of consciousness.
