AN! Canon Compliant Brutality

Soft rays of light filter into Miles' room, bright enough he can now see the dark marks they left on each other's necks. He gently slides Mansk's arm off of him and leaves them with parting kisses before getting up and around. First thing was to find a top that didn't leave the claims out in the open.

As much as he wanted to show them off, they couldn't risk Ardmore seeing hers. Actually, he didn't want her seeing Mansk's either. Despite proudly showing off the love bite in her war room, he wasn't interested in her finding out about their mating. A cursory glance in the mirror threw him off entirely though.

Their claims... glowed? He got closer to the mirror and stretched out his neck, inspecting the new glowing dots. Like they were tanhi. Well that certainly made it more difficult to hide. He didn't notice them glowing on his mates because they were so huddled up together.

Luckily for him, he found another tank top with wider straps that covered more of his shoulders. The claims were still somewhat visible, but you'd have to know what you were looking for. Otherwise they just looked like the dots already decorating their bodies. Alright, easier to hide than he thought.

Miles decides to let them rest, it was barely 0600 and they wouldn't be at the island for at least another couple hours. The common room was mostly empty, save for one Recombinant who handed him a fresh cup of coffee.

"Are they glowing?" Lyle questions, eyeing the barely visible parts of them.

"Yep, noticed that a few minutes ago." He sighs contentedly and leans against the wall as he drinks.

"Neat. So... have fun last night?" Lyle, in normal shitlord fashion, asks as he flashes his eyebrows repeatedly.

"More than you know." He answers into the cup, but pulls it away from his face at Lyle's bright and glowing grin.

"How was the threesome?" The asshole locks right on to his ears pinning back in shock and that shiteating grin somehow manages to get bigger.

"How do you always do that? How do you fucking know everything?"

"Talent." The Lieutenant shrugs like he wasn't in possession of some psychic abilities.

"Yeah, talented at being a pain in my ass." He answers, once again into the cup, but this time he actually downs the rest of it.

"Hey, you knew that when you made me your Lieutenant. Only got yourself to blame."

"Couldn't've picked someone better for the job." That took Lyle by surprise; it was obvious he hadn't anticipated any response, much less that one. But a proud smirk quickly overtook the look of shock and Miles laughed at the man's damn tail swishing happily.

The SeaDragon descended on the first village. Villagers were rounded up, restrained, and subsequently threatened. Quaritch questioned the Olo'eyktan while Spider was forcibly used as a translator for what he couldn't catch.

Ten meant what she said to Mansk, she wasn't naive enough to think the Trinity's completion would stop the mission. But it also didn't mean she was ready for this. Watching the people she'd come to consider friends terrorize helpless people was heart wrenching.

Especially as she was essentially forced to bear witness to it, standing between Spider and Quaritch. Eywa wanted her here; she chose them. There was a reason... There had to be a reason, right? She grimaces as humans in skel suits continually brutalize terrified villagers. Z-dog's use of an electric prod finally forces her to look away and focus on the leaders.
