The first thing they felt within this newer connection was the culmination of their combined love and its intensity. They already knew each of them were equal in this relationship, but this cemented it and left a plaque with its declaration. There could not be any lingering misgivings or uncertainty about what was meant to be. Their love for one another met between them, converged, and was then overwhelmingly fed back to them.
Mansk and Miles sat unmoving for a few minutes, giving themselves time to adjust and familiarize themselves with this intensive bond. They could see how they viewed each other and how those feelings bloomed as they stared into each other's eyes. Mansk's eyes closed as Miles thought about the sensation of his skin under his finger tips.
Seconds later, his breath caught when Miles delicately graced his cheek.
And now he could feel it...
Mansk felt the softness of his own skin through Miles' fingers. He was fed back his own heartbeat; it transitioned to his knuckles running down the side of his neck along the pulse point.
Fuck... It was so intimate. His touch exuded love and affection. Mansk could feel just how Miles responded to him chasing his touch. Feeling his mates' emotions was one thing. This? This was incredible.
They could feel, hear, sense, and fuck, taste each other, but nothing compared to the dual feeling of his touch. Miles' perspective on top of his own was so much and wonderful. A pang of worry from Miles confuses him, and his eyes open to those that were preparing for unease.
His hand, which now cupped Mansk's cheek, started to pull away. Reminiscent of when he touched him for the first time in that way. Mansk instantly covered it with his own and eased his fingers between Miles'. His head shook lightly as he took in the sensation and made his will known to his mate.
"Don't pull away from me." He mirrors Miles' words, but the worry remains.
"Dey, your sensory issues are in overdrive. I can feel them." Contrary to what Miles believed, Mansk didn't feel overstimulated. Yes, this was a lot. There was no denying that. Miles' concerned expression softens at his gentle smile. There was no overstimulation from this; it bypassed everything and let him feel unbiddenly. For the first time in his life, all of the extra sensory information didn't trigger anything. It was there, but not triggering.
"Miles, I want more." He barely gives him time to process what he said before he's guiding Miles by his chin. This act, tsaheylu, was sacred and intimate. Their foreheads touch, and they both sigh pleasantly. Miles' relief blows over him in waves from their new bond and the old. They each drink in the comforting feedback of touch and warmth as they nuzzle their faces together. Much like cats, which makes sense considering how feline Na'vi were, but it makes them smile all the same.
Miles gently caresses her face, and that's when both men realize they're not receiving the same feedback from her.
Seek
The instinct hadn't spoken to him in what seemed like ages, even if he knew it had only been a couple of days. Mansk tentatively reaches out to Miles, and he seemingly travels through their braids directly into his head. Straight into Miles' burgeoning and turbulent thoughts.
Worry, anger at himself, fear they won't be able to bring her back, trepidation about the escape, and the love he has for the man staring back at him.. How he would do anything for him and for her. His mistakes. He just wanted to protect them. Escaping meant putting them all in further danger by being hunted. The hurt he caused her, the failsafe his actions triggered, and he hurt her again. He did this to her. He had to make this right; they deserved this chance.
