As Miles, Lyle, and Spider caught up with Ten, they passed an exceedingly agitated Waryn and saw her using the tower viewer to look out at the surfaced Tulkun. As she gazed up at Miles, her tail swished nervously behind her, and she moved out of the way so that he could use the viewer. He felt her calm vanish seconds earlier and now understood why.
You've gotta be shitting me...
There was no shot this was happening. Her siblings were on that Tulkun, trying to remove the fucking tracker! Why, in God's name, did Sully always let his kids be somewhere they shouldn't?!
An armed crew member of the SeaDragon posted at the end of the railed platform eyed them and their reactions warily. They had to keep playing this the right way and keep up the ruse until they could safely get out. He couldn't have the entirety of the SeaDragon on their ass. Fuck!
"I'll be damned." Miles says in disbelief before turning to his Lieutenant. "Sully's kids."
Waryn lets out his signature, identifiably unique roar, and Lyle glances from her over to the Colonel. If those kids see or hear him, they'll know she's onboard. Ten is still staring out at the approaching Tulkun when Waryn quiets down and, to Miles' shock, takes flight without his rider.
"I know. They can't know I'm here." She says as he watches Waryn fly behind the ship and off to one of the nearby small islands out of sight. Miles turns back around when she growls at the armed crewman. "My man, if you don't stop eyeing me, I'm throwing you off this fucking ship. Go ahead, give me an out."
The human's eyes widen, and he turns away from the pissed-off, red-eyed Na'vi.
"What are we doin' boss?" Lyle asks, and Miles has no fucking idea.
Out of all possible options, this wasn't what he expected. If when Scoresby attacks the Tulkun, her siblings are in danger. If the Recombinants don't act, they'll put themselves in danger. If they can capture them and get them onboard, they could potentially draw Sully out and use it as a distraction. The faster they got the kids onboard, the less likely it was for them to get hurt.
This was a terrible plan, but their only viable plan.
Fuck it.
"Roll out." He orders. Lyle whistles and calls everyone to saddle up. "Not you." He gestured to Spider, who still tried to move forward until he was stopped by Ten's hand on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?!" Spider exclaims.
"Trusting him." She said it confidently, and she actually felt confident saying it. She did trust him. He made no attempt to hide anything when they were connected, and she trusted him. The banshees take off towards her siblings and the Tulkun. Once they're off the ship, she pushes Spider inside the bridge and tells him to stay there.
"Where the hell are you going?" He asks angrily, Garvin wasn't here. She assumes Miles took his place on the boat the last time, which is good; no one else should speak the language.
"Taking care of something."

Scoresby's boats close in on the Tulkun as the kids free it from the tracker. Miles watches them dive away and bond with ilus. Depth charges go off, and Miles snarls as he circles around.
"No depth charges." Miles orders through the comms. "Scoresby, you copy? These kids are worthless to me dead."
Stupid fuck! He knows they're high-priority targets. He should know better than to target them with depth charges. A very irritated hold your fire, comes through.
