"Cole?" I question him, knowing damn well I know it's him.

He turns around at the sound of my voice smiling.

His eyes look around at my face, his eyes going hard once he sees my hand in Ethan's.

I squeeze Ethan's hand, in way of telling him to hold me tighter.

He does, he understood.

"Hi Stella" he says smiling.

I don't smile back instead i give him a frown.

"Can I talk to you?" I say to him, "in private"

He nods, i step away from Ethan.

Ethan, Emma, diego and rosy look confused.

I pull cole by his shirt, I've had enough of him! Of everyone.

I feel anger towards him and Mason.

"Why are you here?" I ask him, you can hear the anger in my voice. "Why do you keep showing up?"

He looks taken aback, "I thought you'd be happy to see me" he says.

"No! I'm not happy to see you! I never am. Why do you think I want you in my life?" I ask him.

"I still love you!" He yells.

My friends are just staring at us, they can probably hear us too.

But I don't care, I'm so angry at him to care.

"I hate you cole! I hate you so much, i don't love you anymore"

He gives me a look.

"I don't believe you! Don't you think this is a sign? We always keep going back to each other" he says in the same tone I'm talking in.

I laugh, not in a 'it's funny' way but in a I'm fed up way.

"Coming back?" I ask him, it's so ridiculous.

"Yes coming back!" He says, "I know you feel it to"

I look way, "I'm sorry cole but you have to let me go, I'm happy with Ethan. I don't want you"

I look back at him, he looks hurt.

I leave him, and go back to my friends.

"You know coleson?" Diego asked, saying what everyone else was probably thinking.

"Me and him dated for awhile back in freshmen year" i said.

I hold onto Ethan's hand.

"How did you guys meet him?"I asked them.

"He moved here in sophomore year" Emma says.

That's probably where he came when he left me.

Cole and i are complicated in many different ways.

It's always messy, we're always messy. Even if I wanted to it'd never work out.

"Let's go celebrate?" Rosy asks changing the subject.

We all agree.

Ethan and I go in his car while the others go into their own cars.

"Are you okay?" I ask Ethan, "you seem really quiet"

He nods, "yes I'm fine" he says.

I know something is bothering him.

"You can tell me" i said trying to get him to talk to me.

He sighs.

"Is it because of cole?" I ask him.

He nods parking the car in the parking lot of IN-N-OUT.

I grab his face with both hands turning him to me.

"Listen to me! I don't love cole, not anymore" i said to him, "he's nothing to me, he stopped being something to me the moment he left me"

He eyes soften.

"I want you, I want to be with you more than anything" I confess to him.

He smiles, "I want to be with you too" he says.

"I know this is not the right way to do this but I can't help it anymore. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks.

I grin at him, "YES! Yes I will" I said hugging him.

He hugs me back.

When we pull apart he kisses me.

We kiss as if we were the only people on earth, as if nothing else mattered, as if we loved one another.

And I think deep down I do love him, I also think deep down it's us.

After we're done we get out of the car.

Rosy, Emma, and Diego are waiting for us at the door.

We hold hands, as we get closer to them Ethan gives Diego a thumbs up while grinning.

Diego grins back, and than shouts. Not so loud but only enough for us to hear.

"They're dating!" He says, Emma and Rosy cheer at us.

They're all so happy for us.

It makes my heart happy.

Ethan holds our conjoined hands in the air.

We laugh out of happiness.

"Now we have two things to celebrate for!" Diego says.

Emma gives us a hug.

"I'm so happy for you guys" she says pulling away.

We smile at her, "thank you em" Ethan says.

We finally go inside, it's less packed than the drive thru but still packed.

The boys get our orders while us girls find a table to sit at.

Some kids from our school are here, hanging out with friends. Chatting and laughing.

Every time i look around at people it amazes me to think about the fact that everyone is the main character in their own story.

"You and Ethan are so cute!" Emma gushes at me.

I smile blushing.

"Yeah! You guys are such goals" rosy adds on.

My face is probably redder than a tomato.

They smile at me.

"It makes me feel happy that you are happy" Emma says, Rosy nodding along.

"He's actually going to come with me back to my home for Christmas" i said not knowing whether or not to tell them.

I obviously told them. They look at each other in shock.

"What?!" Emma says smiling "are you serious?"

Rosy is too stunned to speak.

I nod "yes! He's coming with me"

Before we get to talk more about it the boys show up.

"What are you guys talking about?" Diego questions with a smile.

We all say different things.

"Books"

"Movies"

"Dogs"

The boys look confused at our supposed conversation but don't say anything else.

"Okay..." Diego says.

Ethan sits next to me and Diego sits between Emma and rosy.

That's awkward.

For the rest of the night I spend it laughing and chatting with my friends and boyfriend.

In this moment I'm happy.
