Darren Pike has always been one of the few authors that can transform literary art into a masterpiece. Therefore, it was only understandable that a lot of fans and even non-fans waited patiently for his next project.

Aster Fay wasn't the type to bother his favorite author although they have exchanged a few words online. With that being said, he would rather have his author take his time to write whatever he needed to write, and Aster, as a loyal follower and reader vows to wait for the release.

This author has written so many novels and has become a household name. His imagination knows no bounds leaving his readers breathless with every phrase and word. This writer also has a habit of taking his reader to the highest pinnacle of emotion and then crashing down their soul mercilessly with the next. Every chapter was worth the wait, and every world and character was worth remembering.

This new project of his was titled "Legion War" and the genre was fantasy, adventure, action, and romance with slight drama. Aster has always been a fan of Darren Pike's fantasy, adventure, and action novels. The romance? Not so much but the author has a way of captivating even the most aloft heart that Aster finds himself paying attention. The slight drama? Sure! He always trusted Darren Pike will create an ending that will surely compensate for all the pain the main character has to go through.

To introduce our main character, his name was Aster Fay. Yes, it was an unusual name for an unusual person. Aster grew up in an orphanage and has never known his parents. Year after year, he will celebrate his birthday with the rest of the kids in the Fresh Hope Home. As they reached their teenage years, they were told to look presentable. Parents looking for children to adopt will flock to their orphanage to pick which one of them was the best-looking, and well-behaved. Aster has stopped longing for some kind couple to choose him. For some reason, he never had such luck.

The first family he joined had a son younger than him who has special needs. At first, Aster thought they will get along well. After all, he had friends with ADHD and he managed to befriend each and every one of them. he has a jolly personality and he was naturally chatty too, two of the best combination one must have if they would like to find a friend. This should be easy.

Or so he thought.

That child turned out to be a fucking nightmare. He lies, he cheats and not to mention that he like to make fun of Aster and when he finally had enough, he exploded and showed him who's the boss. And boom! Back to the orphanage.

The second family was kind of alarming. Seeing his new parents should make one feel giddy or thrilled, right? But Aster never felt such a thing. Just seeing their whole body covered in tattoos was enough to make Aster lose his cool. Even so, he stayed with them for a few days to observe if they were a different person. After all, he doesn't judge the book by its cover. But soon enough it has gotten worst, especially when he found out why they needed a child. Every day they did nothing but scam people, trick elderlies into giving their passwords, and asked for alms outside of every grocery store until the manager yelled at them. It was so embarrassing.

He couldn't handle another week with them and he came back to the orphanage the next day.

The third one was supposed to be the best. He was a cardiologist and a widow. All of his children have gotten married already and just wanted someone of his age to keep him and his wife company. Unfortunately, as he was heading to his car, the man had a cardiac arrest and passed away right there and then. How can a man who has a degree in cardiologist pass away in cardiac arrest? How?

What an ironic world we lived in! He said to himself. Before he knew it, he finished his elementary days, high school, and now college. The sisters couldn't wait to kick him out of the house!
