After that brief meeting with Seisyl, he told Rattanon and Kla Han about the letter and the scheduled meeting. They wanted to come with Kali, but he told them to stay put. Instead, he agreed that they watch from afar. Rattanon was of the Basilisk bloodline, and his sigh could go as far as his range would allow him to. And so, when he was meeting this Elisedd, Rattanon went to the west wing tower of the Arcane Academy and told Kali that the Strigoi brothers were following him.
Kali wasn't particularly worried about this. If the brothers kept on meddling with his affairs, then that would be their funeral. Rattanon seemed to have failed to notice Som, under disguise, because he was using a charm to blur his identity. Unknown to Som, there was something unique about his connection to Kali. No matter how powerful Som's charm could be, Kali just needed to smell his scent, and he would know it was him.
That time, Kali looked down at the cupboard where he was hiding and took a deep breath. was about to follow him, but Kali's piercing glare stopped him from moving.
"There is no one here, Your Imperial Highness. I assure you that." The nervousness in Elisedd's voice was evident, clearly mistaking Kali's action as displeasure.
Well, he was wrong. But Kali wasn't about to tell him that and replied dryly, "...I'll see you in three days."
Before leaving the room, Kali touched the cupboard where Som was hiding and spread his scent. This was to fool Elisedd further and prevent the other Draconian from sensing something else. But Kali gave him too much credit because Elisedd left as quickly as he did.
"The Strigoi brothers followed you," Rattanon repeated this time as Kali returned to the academy. They had been waiting in front of his room as usual.
Kali's room was also located in the West Wing of the Arcane Academy and was among the biggest and finest rooms the place could offer. The room was arranged even before Kali arrived in the place, with a king-size bed, a huge fur rug as a carpet made from a pelt of some unknown beast, and curtains of the finest silk. This was a room befitting a high-ranking prince like him, and yet Kali was never fond of this room nor the way others had been giving him this too much fake respect.
Kla Han was leaning on the wall with his arms crossed over his chest, "What do we do?" he didn't beat around the bush, unlike Rattanon, and would prefer a solution before things could get worst.
"They didn't hear anything," Kali told his friends and removed his coat, hanging it casually on the rack beside the door.
"Are you certain?" Rattanon asked once again. "So, we're not doing anything?"
"Oh, we're doing something..." Kali grinned mischievously.

The next morning, their group cornered the brothers after class. Once again, Kali was amazed at how fast Marko reacted, pushing Som to hide behind a statue before Kla Han could even catch the younger one unaware. And because he ignored this action, neither one of his friends bothered Som as though the three of them had unconsciously agreed to let Som hide.
Kali did it on purpose for Som to witness how he threatened the brothers. He thought that would be enough to change his mind and abandon his plan of investigation.
But Kali guessed right away that he truly underestimated Som...
And so, the saga of letting someone stalk him and then watching that stalker and ensuring his safety continued. The thing was, Kali didn't want Som to be interested in others. There was this certain possessiveness inside of him, desiring to keep the person beside him no matter what the consequence might be.
