This discovery had certainly thrown the whole story into a 360. If he was correct (and he had a feeling that he was), then this must be the reason why everything was altered. Som couldn't help but wonder if Darren Pike had some unfulfilled dream in their past life and was the main reason why there were stuck in limbo.

However, now wasn't the time to discuss beliefs or if there was even heaven and hell. He was now part of this world, and whether he liked it or not, he had to abide by the rules and go with the story just like how an ordinary person goes through their life.

And that brings him to the initial dilemma that he must really find a way to get in touch with that Darren Pike!

However, his thoughts were ruined once more when Saanvi reminded him of a serious matter during the lecture, "Som, you do understand that if we proved that Kali was out to betray his brother for the throne, he would be brought in for a court-martial?"

Certainly, Som was well aware of what the means and what a court-martial entails. The moment he heard that Kali might be subjected to one, he felt a tugging in his heart that was difficult to put into words. He kept telling himself that he must focus on the story and prevent a war. In this world, Druids were born to ensure the peace and safety of Asturia. Nevertheless, he couldn't stop his heart from wavering every once in a while whenever he thought of Kali and how this could affect him.

What the heck?! Why would he even care about that pompous Dragon-brat!?

"Som?"

"Huh, what?"

"Are you sure you're up for this?"

Saanvi was not known for being patient and had always been aggressive, if not violent. She would justify this act as self-defense and would prefer to deal with the repercussion after. Though Som must admit that her question was valid and warranted an answer, especially if the person who started this all was looking pale as soon as he heard about the court-martial. Even the Strigoi brothers were staring at Som, waiting for him to make a decision.

"Would you guys stop pressuring me?" Som muttered irritably, "Now's not the time to talk about this!"

It was then that the lecturer noticed them and immediately called their attention. "Som, brother of Sri, is there something that you and your friends would like to share with the rest of the class?"

This teacher was named Solena, and she happened to be a Harpy like Saanvi. And just like any Harpy, she was voluptuous, with feathers all over her hair. Because it was her kind, Saanvi leaned to her seat in an attempt to hide herself. Som was annoyed by this but also humiliated since all eyes turned on him. That includes Kali.

"Well?" the lecturer repeated.

Som cleared his throat. "I apologize, teacher."

Teacher Solena sighed but didn't bother anymore and went back to talk about the map of Asturia. Som noticed that she was explaining about the infamous five sacred continents which formed the whole world in the story. Well, the story has already been changed, much to his mortification. Why not push the narrative to see if the situation would turn better or worst?

"Excuse me, teacher," Som said, raising a hand and once again claiming everyone's attention. "I do have a question."

The teacher turned to him briefly, "Yes, Som?"

"Where is the Sage Lake Crossing?"

This question stunned the teacher—but she wasn't alone in this reaction. In fact, the entire class looked at Som as though he asked something remotely close to getting banned at the academy. Then, his eyes flickered past and found Kali, whose expression was blank as a canvas.
