When Som reawakened again and found himself staring at the canopy of a four-poster bed that he was more familiar with before he closed his eyes. The voice of Aster Fay was certainly not his and yet it seemed as though he had heard it several times before, perhaps, in a distant past.

That person-that Aster Fay, called him 'brother' though it may not always mean that they were somewhat related, Som could not help but overthink if everything that he knew before coming into this world was just something that his mind created to fill in the gaps until he can return to his original world? What if this really was his reality and there were things he could not recall because it was better that way?

As he struggled to put all the stories together he felt a sudden sharp severe abdominal pain, as though something was twisting inside of him, gnawing and pushing all of his entrails upwards. It was at this time that Kali entered the room to check if he has awakened and found him crouching in the bed. Hurrying to his side, the Dragon Prince tried to assist butdid not understand how he can alleviate the pain.

"Som, talk to me," Kali asserted, "Tell me where it hurts..." as he did this, his hand reached to his stomach and in an instant, visions assailed his mind.

It came like a series of various images that seemed to be disconnected from one another. There was fire and darkness, and a serpent coiling into the sky. And everything that made this world vibrant and meaningful turned gray and dark, the flowers withered and all the wild faunas perished, and on top of the pile of bones stood a creature with red eyes-

"SOM!"

Som was now staring back at Kali's isosceles slits and started touching his face, "Are you real?" he said, trembling as he did so.

"I am real," Kali's voice was soft, cajoling as he run his fingers through Som's matted hair. "I am here."

For some unknown reason, Som's eyes were filled with tears and his body was shaking all over. "I had a vision..."

"What kind of vision? Tell me."

"I think I've seen how this world will end."

Kali stiffened as he wiped the tears off his face. He does not know what to say to make him feel better, or how much he could tell him that will not affect Som's choice. But Som could not stop crying even if he wanted to which tells Kali that the vision might be too much to bear.

"Kali..." Som finally spoke in between sobs, "I don't know who I am," he confided. "I don't know where I belong."

As if something was squeezing his heart, Kali pulled him into a tight embrace, rubbing circles behind his back. "It's fine," he whispered. "Everything is going to be fine, Som."

Som pulled a little away to stare at those eyes that he come to know and love. "Promise me, that no matter what happens, you will only listen to me. When I tell you I love you, I only speak the truth."

His eyes were misty with tears, pleading helplessly and it made Kali weary. Touching the hand that was touching his face, he assured him, "I promise you, that the sound of your voice and laugh are the only ones I will listen to."

And that was all Som needed to hear or at least in this lifetime, and he kissed him with all the passion he felt. In spite of his initial protest about the way the story of this world unfolds before him, he was utterly convinced that they had somehow breached the ordinary parameters of their relationship, and that he had come to know and discover something truly different and exceptional, and now he intends to keep it. Make it his forever.

And Som was filled with arousal by just a mere kiss, something he never imagined he would desire in life. He had spent his childhood wishing for a family but this world has given him a chance to build his own with this man who vowed to give him the never-ending he was longing for.
