Som couldn't tell if Kali was just saying those things to make fun of him before murdering him in cold blood. Nevertheless, he took this as an opportunity to finally know the truth.
"Zip it. Why are the Erinyes hiding the diplomat of the Hydra clan? Are you working with them against your brother?" He fired question after question but not lowering his defense.
Kali didn't say anything and just continued to smile. There was nothing in his expression but pure amusement, making Som even more annoyed.
"Please, calm down, Som, brother of Sri."
The voice that came right behind Som was melancholy, as though the person was reciting a very boring verse. He turned to see the Shaman Niran, along with his guards and also his sister Malee walking towards them. And to Som's surprise, someone tall, fair-skinned, with a bright and smiling face also appeared beside the Head of the Erinyes.
At the same time, Marko, Mica, and even Saanvi were dragged outside by the Erinyes guards that they rendered unconscious earlier. It looked like the four of them were caught in the most uncompromising situation, and worst, they were caught by the "enemies" before they could even share their side of the story.
"Let's talk, brother of Sri."
Som almost groaned when he heard Niran call him that way once again. He wondered why the Shaman couldn't just drop that and just call him by his name. Why was it that he always has to add Sri's name every time he calls him, making Som very frustrated? Niran was making it sound like his brother ranked higher than the Dragon King himself!
Then after saying those words, Niran walked inside the sacred temple gesturing for his guards and Som to follow. Basically, everyone followed, including his friends, that was just momentarily dragged outside and now found themselves inside the temple again. Since Som was planted in place, Kali pulled him by the wrist gently but with force. It felt as though he was not allowed to object.
Once back inside, they were assaulted by a very interesting sight. And no, it has nothing to do with how dark the temple was and why the runes etched on every wall and ceiling disappeared. What made their jaw drop at the same time was the high-ranking monarchy himself—King Kyro of Legends!
Som had never imagined in this life that he would meet the Dragon King. Truly, seeing it in person and reading about it were two different things. Although there was no comparison since they both shine in their own ways, Som must say that Kali's face was beyond stunning, but Kyro looks more regal. He bore a strong resemblance to his younger brother except that he was friendlier, smiled more and gentler in his words. The dark armor he wore just added supremacy to his overall appearance. Kyro also has a long face and olive skin tone. His smiling eyes were a lot smaller than Kali's, with the same purplish-golden hue and isosceles slit coupled with a tall and straight nose and thin lips.
One word, both brothers were fucking GORGEOUS.
Som looked at his friends again and quickly understood that it was the Dragon King who restrained the battle inside the temple. Whether his friends tried to escape or not, he couldn't be certain. But Som felt that neither Marko, Mica or even Saanvi would even consider running away but would likely stop fighting if the King himself ordered it.
"Your Imperial Majesty," Sigurd was the first to step forward and bowed his head low.
Kyro waved his hand, "Stop that! Why are you acting so modest now, Sigurd Jørgen Rosenkrantz?"
Sigurd seemed shy and scratched the back of his neck. In Som's opinion, he looks so young to be the next Head of the Hydra, but if the Dragon King approved of this, then he must be someone dependable. However, that doesn't absolve him from possible involvement in a conspiracy! However, the appearance of King Kyro concluded all of his suspicions because it only meant one thing—he knew about Kali's secret dealings.
