Conversations in inns, bars, or even diners shouldn't be unusual, but because these were patrons belonging to different races, the trios were curious to hear some fresh gossip, even grinning among themselves whenever the group mentioned something funny.

"Who knows? He's probably just somewhere hooking up with one of those ladies in Klannad!" said a male Ogre with a mohawk hairstyle and piercings in both ears.

The other person, a shorter one with green skin and webbed feet and hands, argued, "He's a diplomat! That's like one of the most important positions in the government."

A Minotaur nodded his head in agreement, "That's true! Higher than an envoy."

"Yes, but if the envoy happens to be a nobility like the Dragon Prince, then even if you're the diplomat, you still need to bow your head."

They laughed aloud, apparently entertained by whatever they were discussing. It may appear strange to someone that Som had gotten curious despite not knowing the full context of their conversation. Missing diplomats were usually dealt with by the members of the council in secret. This one was being broadcasted without care.

However, Som knew better.

"They're talking about him again," Som was surprised to hear Mica muttering beside him.

He quickly glanced at him, "You know about that?"

"Our father told us," Marko was the one who answered this time. "A few days ago, a diplomat went missing while en route to the Dark Water Region. At first, no one seemed to care because he was known for being a ."

Som choked on his drink as he didn't expect to hear that word. Well, they weren't completely wrong, though. The said diplomat was, indeed, that. A manwhore!

"He was always in the local pubs, bars, parties, you know?" Mica continued. "He was known to flirt with barmaids and prostitutes."

Som frowned and didn't want to hear that part, so he changed the question, trying to see if they were talking about the same person. "Whose diplomat is it? I mean, which race?"

"Draconian. A Hydra."

Just as he thought...

At present, the Draconian Race has six clans: The Dragons, the Wyverns, the Hydras, the Basilisks, the Wyrms, and the Drakes. The creator, aka Mr. Author, made them so perfect that they easily claimed the top spot of the most favorite race in Legion War. What made the story unique to all that he has read was that all races were categorized based on their class and threat levels. For instance, Draconians being the most fearsome, were classified as mythic with a threat level of extremely dangerous.

...and for a good reason because they were capable of turning into this titanic, monstrous, winged serpent that breathe fire.

Som looked up to see a tapestry hanging on the wall of the café. Infinity has always been the symbol of the Draconian Race to represent their eternal lifespan. They were revered, but few of the races couldn't help throwing snide remarks to some of their members. One of them was this "missing" diplomat.

Som was quickly processing the scenes inside his head. Despite some of the obvious changes, some parts remain true to the novel. He wondered if changing one course could lead to a different future. If he was to alter the destiny of his character, then he might as well start with this now.

"How surprising that His Imperial Majesty, the Lord Emperor Kyro sent his brother here as an envoy," that man who has the face of a frog spoke once again. "Don't you think that's a little bit suspicious considering the situation at the assembly?"
