The audacity of this person to bring him to another brothel! Som looked outraged the moment they entered the tavern in the middle of the sea and finally discovered that the business here didn't differ much from the Scarlet Lady.
Som couldn't help but feel offended since his pronouncement of virginity had become a long-running joke, and Kali was most likely joining the bandwagon for it. How extraordinary for someone who declared his love and loyalty to him!
"Don't you dare do that again," he warned as Kali pulled out one of the boats after tossing a token to the machinery as payment for the ride to work.
Kali simply looked and offered a hand, opening his palms in front of the nagging Som. But the latter didn't take it and angrily jumped into the boat, making it shook that it almost flipped. Kali was fast to hold them steady and pulled Som close to him once again.
But once again, the other man pushed him away, and his nostrils flared angrily at him. Kali took a deep sigh. "I was only making sure we're on the same page."
"Same page, my ass!"
"Do you even know what kind of disguise we are going to use to enter that sinful den?" Kali sat by the bench in the boat while Som sat on the far-end corner across from him. "You have to pretend as a courtesan while I'm the procurer."
"Are you crazy?!" Since being in this world, Som felt that his masculinity was being slighted, and everyone enjoyed teasing him and referring to him as pretty rather than handsome.
"Then, do you want me to be the courtesan?" Kali asked him directly as though he had just asked about the current weather.
Som glared but soon found out that Kali could never pass on the role. The Dragon Prince was too stern, too intimidating to entertain a guest, and he seemed to be a little hotheaded too. "It's fine," he finally agreed. Anything for this mission to be a success. "But why do you need to ask me if man or woman?"
Kali shrugged. "It's comfortable if you know what type of client you prefer to entertain. After all, we're here on a mission. Any information we gather is valuable."
"Fine. By the way, you said you'd be that procurer. What is that?"
"I'm your keeper."
"Oh...kinda like a pimp."
Kali frowned. "What is a pimp?"
Som had forgotten that some modern words don't work in this world. "Forget it. Not important."
"As you say so."
"Woman."
Kali returned the gaze. "What is that?"
"I prefer women."
It took a few seconds before Kali responded with a wide grin. "Whatever you say, bunny. Whatever you say..."

Before stepping foot on the place, Kali handed him a purple pill that could change his appearance. Although druids have a natural shapeshifting ability, the Dragon Prince warned him that there was a reason why this specific tavern was patronized by high-ranking officials, and that was because the whole area was enclosed within a dark enchantment capable of detecting illusions. The only way for them to get around the detection and not raise the alarm was to swallow a purple pill that could distort their real appearance.
"Tell me, how are you supposed to get intel by being my procurer?" Som happened to ask as they finally arrived at the place.
"Don't worry about it," Kali told him. "Worry about yourself."
