(Bell POV)
Once again, I was in this elevator.
My head was barely together, Subaru had only barely managed to calm me down, but I think I knew why he decided to stay with me. Just like I, he too had lost someone he loved to this murder game.
He also went looking around the room some and had come to fairly good conclusions. Needless to say, though that will all be explained later.
The elevator stopped and we all went to our spots. Monokuma was on his throne, but he looked strangely fidgety.
"LET THE TRIAL BEGIN!" He yelled, which started the next trial.
"Okay, first of all, let's go over the information we have gathered," Ayanokoji was the first to speak, which was a surprise to many.
"In the game room, some of the wires from the arcade games were taken out. Along with some components," Kyoko added in. "Next up, Subaru, if you would please share what you found in the room,"
"Yes," He said with confidence "Firstly, there were only two murder weapons, as found. The floor by the ropes was a little weird though. The angle was off, so I went to check it and when I did, I found a contraption of sorts. Where, when you pulled the top rope, it would move the tile and then shoot up and then come back down,"
"Monokuma, is it allowed to do that?" Ayanokoji asked, turning his attention to Monokuma
"Um...Yes?"
"..." Ayanokoji said nothing more before turning his attention back to all of us.
Assuming that what Subaru had said was true though, how did the killer even make that? I was too busy trying to calm myself down to check it out, but that would surely have had to take some time.
"Shinobu?" Ayanokoji asked as he turned to her
"...Sorry, there wasn't enough time to get through them all. However, the dough is clear of any poison. That is all I know though,"
"Noell, Rimuru, did you find anything?" Kyoko asked
"I found in Horikita's room an invitation to go to the Storage room," Rimuru said as he took out the letter.
"Noell?" Kyoko asked, turning toward her
"Sadly, nothing,"
"..."
Everyone went silent. There was even less to go on than with Cid's trial. Actually, maybe that wasn't it. There were just too few connections to be made.
"...Alright, I'm going to make some assumptions here. Correct me if you think I'm wrong. Bell, you may not like what you are going to hear," Ayanokoji said
"...?" I looked confused as he said that
"Firstly, Cid's scheme as a traitor was a ruse. He did what he did to make sure we didn't fall apart from distrust,"
"So he wasn't the traitor?" Noell confirmed
"No, he was not. The Traitor...Was Hestia,"
"THAT'S A LIE!" I called out, "T-That's impossible! She was with me all the time, everywhere!"
"That's exactly why you were the prime person to manipulate. She had no cameras in her room, along with the fact she had no letter to tell her to go to the storage room. She could very easily just leave while you were sleeping," Ayanokoji countered "And also, she all but confirmed it when I implanted the idea in her mind that she accidentally let something slip,"
"...Huh?"
"Remember her asking you if she asked me that I was good at playing piano for the first time?"
