Danganronpa: Despair to Prodigy's

Murder/Investigation #5

(Bell POV)

I woke up the next morning and got ready to meet everyone in the cafeteria. It was still lonely to not have Hestia with me each morning, but I still continued on anyway.

When I arrived, everyone was already there except Kyoko.

Everyone had food and was eating, so I grabbed my plate and debated sitting next to Subaru or Ayanokoji. 

Noell was sitting by Subaru as was Shinobu, so I figured I would sit next to Ayanokoji since he was alone.

"How'd you sleep?" I asked as I sat down

"Good." He said as he kept eating

As per usual his short answer didn't leave much room to continue the conversation but I was used to this at this point.

"Has Kyoko come back down yet?"

"Not yet."

"Are you worried for her?" I took a bite of my meal as I asked

"Not really. She knows what she's doing."

We then continued to eat quietly until we were all finished.

"So, what's on the agenda today?" Subaru asked Ayanokoji, probably antsy to get his own plan on next.

"We should check the 5th floor one last time. Other than that it's free time for everyone."

Everyone agreed and we went up to the 5th floor and started to investigate everywhere. Ayanokoji and I went to the garden, while the other 3 went to the biology lab.

When we entered the garden, I had to stop myself from screaming. There was a dead body with a wrestling mask and a knife in its chest.

It was impossible to tell who it was outright, but the fact that it looked slightly feminine and Kyoko wasn't here pointed to one conclusion...

I looked at Ayanokoji to see his reaction, but he still had his calm poker face on.

"Get the others."

Without another word I set off, quickly got the others, and ran back into the room.

"Shit..." Subaru muttered as he looked at the body "It's not confirmed yet though. Also, there hasn't been an announcement yet so let's remove the mask."

As he moved to do it, Ayanokoji stepped forward, "I'll do it. Get back just in case though."

"Just in case?" I mimicked

"We've never seen this mask before, so we should just be cautious."

It was a little skeptical but we all stepped back anyway. Ayanokoji reached for the mask and right when he grabbed it, a blinding light enfolded everyone along with a loud Boom! 

I was blown backward as well, but my thoughts were in order before my eyesight was back.

'What happened to Ayanokoji?!'

"Ayanokoji!" I cried out as my vision came back

"Cough, I'm alright," He said as he got up from the ground with luckily no visible injuries.

'Seriously, what is he?'

"Anyway, it looks like we're gonna be in a fun situation now," Subaru said as he looked at the body, which was now on fire "We have no idea who it is, other than the fact it's a woman."

While the body was on fire, you could now see breasts which confirmed my earlier thought. 

Ayanokoji then picked up something that was close to the body, it looked to be a key of sorts.
