That night Zuko couldn't sleep knowing someone had broken into his and Sokkas bedroom.

He kept anxiously glancing at the door, his stomach knotting in fear in case whoever was their last night comes again and attacks him.

But he couldn't help but think why would someone break in and only redecorate their bedroom. Could've it really been a servant?

Why not steal something? There were many valuables in this room. Maybe I'm just being overdramatic. Zuko thought to himself as he finally relaxed.

"Zuko wake up!" Sokka said as he shook the omega awake. Zuko groaned and rolled over.
"What is it Sokka?"

"Someone broke in last night! They took your necklace!" Sokka said with panic in his voice.
Now zuko was wide awake.

"What?! Do you know who?" Zuko asked as he quickly got up.
"No but we need to tell my father, he'll know what to do!"

The couple went to Sokkas fathers office.
"Father!" Sokka called out, opening the door to the office.
"What is it?" Hakoda asked.

"Someone broke into our room last night, they stole the necklace you gave Zuko"

"What about the guards outside your bedroom? Where were they when this happened"

"They've gone missing"
"This sounds serious, Zuko go back to bed I don't want you to worry."

"This is my home too. I want to find the bastard that broke into my home and into my bedroom." Zuko said.

"Fine, place more guards around the house. You two be alert aswell I don't want anything to happen to the alpha and Luna. For now we'll go back to your room to investigate."

"Are you sure all they took was the necklace?"
"Positive. I checked everything that could be of value, but why would they want Zukos necklace."

"Maybe because it's centuries old" Hakoda said.
"I found something" Zuko said. It was a strand of short black hair.
"Could be facial hair" said Zuko.
"I'll put this in a bag for evidence." Hakoda said, Zuko handed him the strand of hair.

"The guards have disappeared, Zukos necklace is gone.. what is happening?" Hakoda said pacing anxiously around the room.
"We also think whoever did it broke into our room last night and redecorated."

"Thats strange.. how are all these connected?"

"We need to find out who this bastard is, you two check the house. I'll check for signs of forced entry from outside " Sokka said.

Hakoda and Zuko nodded. The pair looked all around the castle but no further evidence was found. It was getting dark outside.

"Why isn't Sokka back yet?" Zuko said anxiously.
"He's a strong boy, but he's not a smart one. I'm sure he just wondered off, he'll be back soon enough. For now let's get some dinner. I'm starved."

"Your right." Zuko relaxed a bit but his anxiety grew when Sokka hadn't returned after dinner.
"Father, I'm worried. What if he doesn't return?"

"Don't worry, you go off to bed now. There will be guards outside your bedroom, I'll bring some guards with me to look for Zuko."

But Zuko could hardly sleep, worried about the intruder, about his husband, about his father in law and worried if he would be in danger aswell. He tossed and turned all night but didn't catch a wink of sleep.
