The gaang scurried to where Toph was. There was a door behind the bookcase that was on the floor.
Toph tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.
"Its locked" She said "we need a key"
Zuko looked in every drawer in the bedroom to look for the key to open the door.
"I found it!" He yelled out, he quickly handed it to Toph who unlocked the door, all they could see was a hallway.
"He's got to be in there" Aang said.
"I'll go first! I am the avatar after all and if whoevers in there managed to take Sokka down they've got to be armed."
"Great idea" katara said pushing Aang towards the door.
Aang pushed the bookcase a bit further and walked across the hallway swatting away all the cobwebs that were on his face as he entered.
"Theres a shitload of cobwebs.. maybe he isn't here" Aang said turning to go back.
"Oh no you don't, what happened to 'I'm the avatar I should go first'" katara said blocking his exit.
Aang sighed and turned back around.
"It smells really bad in here!"
"Just tell us what you see at the end of the hallway!" Hakoda called out.
"Ok.." Aang mumbled. He walked down a hallway until he saw a corner leading to a door with light shining from underneath.
"I've found another door! Guys get over here"
"He's found a door! Let's go guys." Katara said entering the door and walking through the hallway before anyone could respond.
Toph groaned and Zuko went in last to make sure Toph didnt try stay behind. Zukos nose was filled with a rotten stench which smelled like gone off yogurt for some reason.
By the time Zuko had turned the corner everyone was already inside the room. Zuko could hear crying coming from katara. His stomach immediately dropped. Was Sokka hurt? Was he dead?
Zuko rushed inside. But Sokka wasn't there.
"W- what.. where is he?" He asked bewildered.
"The kidnapper must've took him and left before we got here.." Hakoda said. "We should probally head back and search again tomorrow"
"Guys come look at this, it's a note" Aang said. Aang held up the note and read it outloud.
"Your ambassador is fine for now. In order for his safe return I want 79,511 yuan and it must be delivered by Zuko and only Zuko. Meet me at this house at 9pm or else Sokka will be dead."
"What are we gonna do?" Katara said.
"Zuko has to give the money."
