The sketchbook was Victoria's book. That was for sure. You recognised her signature under the artworks and the handwriting on the cover. Having her annotate your work had taught you her writing style. The dates were what interested you the most. Most of the drawings were dated in 1952.
30th April: a drawing of the Baron, with a scowl that didn't match any of the portraits you'd seen of him. It was the real Baron.
May, June and July: lots of flowers, vases and still life pieces. Classic art student portfolio. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
The only titled one was dated August 17th: 'the Honourable Estella Von Hellman, 10 days old.' It was a drawing of the Baroness' baby daughter. Although she was a witch now, you had to give it to her, she was a very cute little girl.
Wait...
Estella? Did it say Estella?
Estella Miller? The red head?
She was Cruella?
Of course she was!
There was mostly just drawings of flowers and vases and butterflies and all that jazz for the rest of the sketchbook. There was a decently recent drawing of Genghis (who was her favourite Dalmatian by far, though she'd never admit it), but nothing else in her book was particularly interesting. It was just an everyday sketchbook, no secrets other than the child. Strange it was hidden away, especially seeing as she could just tear out the picture. That was until you saw the drawing on last page.
It was you?!
Dated 9 days ago. It was a full body sketch, with a rough style rather than a realistic piece, which was artfully nude. That didn't really match the style she'd shown in the book so far. Even though it wasn't hyper realistic, Victoria had drawn every detail. The splotchy birthmarks. The freckles. Little hearts around you. It looked amazing and she did it all for you! You were flushing red to say the very least.
"Y/N?" Called John. You shut the book. "Yeah?" "The Baroness said she- oh. Doesn't matter you've already found it..." he grumbled, annoyed at himself for not catching you earlier. "I- I'm sorry. I must've taken a wrong turn." You apologised. "No biggie. Here's the book. I'd head to Victoria now. Maybe don't tell her about the sketchbook..." he suggested.
You ignored that suggestion.
"What's this?" You asked, showing Victoria's tasteful drawing to her. "D- do you like it?" she asked, with a nervous grin. "Obviously! Here's the book by the way." You passed her her story. "I- I saw the pictures of Hans and Estella as well." You said. She smiled. "I'm not too good with realistic people. Cr- Estella's better than Hans by a landslide, I had more practice time during the pregnancy."
You went to leave and read (you ended up picking up an Agatha Christie) but Victoria wanted you stay. "At least until I fall asleep? You can sit far away so I don't give you the bug." She asked. "Sure, I'll stay." You reassured, sitting down at her vanity with your book. "Thank you love. It's been so lonely without you!" She smiled.
Ten strangers, each with a dark secret, are gathered together on an isolated island by a mysterious host. One by one, they die, and before the weekend is out, there will be none.
Victoria and you had been reading for about half an hour before she curled up and drifted off. Whether it was the lavender or the bug, she was out like a light minutes after she put her book down.
"Goodnight Victoria, I love you!" You whispered, creeping out of the room so your lady could rest.
