You wished that you could tell Victoria that you had the biggest and best surprise ever planned, but you knew you couldn't. As much as you wanted to tell her everything and have her not accuse you of cheating, it would ruin everything. You wouldn't see her stone cold face light up when she saw it.
"Who the fuck does she think she is? In what world does she think I would find anyone more perfect?" You screamed to no one in particular. The paintings on the ceiling were the only listeners to your complaints.
In the most Victoria of ways, you threw your shoe across the room.
It chinked against the piano.
—
"Who in gods name does Y/N think she is?" Victoria shouted. "Have you considered she might be telling the truth?" John asked, stepping slowly back to avoid the rebound of hurricane baroness. He knew the plan, but knew also that you would kill him if he spoiled it. "That's what I'm hoping for. I can't do this." Victoria sobbed. "But Y/N is lying to me!"
John put a reassuring hand on the Baroness's shoulder. "Y/N isn't going to hurt you." He promised. Victoria snorted, in the most unladylike way. "You though the Baron wouldn't." She quipped, matter of factly. "I understand what you went through dear-"
"You empathise, yes, but you don't understand. You can't understand because you were head over heels for him..."
—
You walked over to the piano and pressed the key that your shoe rebounded off of.
Chink.
Chink.
Chink, chink, chink, chink, chink.
You sat down at the piano, your continual chink sounds making you feel a strong urge to play.
————
"I'm ashamed of my self, ma'am, so I feel obligated to say this to you."
"Whatever is the matter?"
"I- I'm homosexual."
"You don't have to feel ashamed to tell me that-"
"And... I think I am in love with your husband..."
————
The song that spilt out of your fingertips was angry and violent yet also painful and angelic. You kept on and on and on with the song, letting your fingers run wild and it made sense. This was Victoria. The song was Victoria.
You finished the song and felt a strange feeling that you weren't alone.
"Was that to your liking Baroness?"
Victoria let out a gasp, blowing her cover.
"I didn't know you were here." You stated. "Did you write that?" Victoria asked. You nodded. "I guess I did..." you mused. "What is it called, your song?"
You looked Victoria in her eyes, forgiving her anger and every foul thing she has and could throw your way. "I- I don't know-" "Whatever you call it, it's a beautiful song..."
"Victoria's Song." You decided.
"It's called Victoria's Song.
